The pool save this place from getting a rating of 1. Nice, new-perfect for me and my two kids (5&7 yrs) to swim in at the end ofthe day. Can even partially see fireworks from hottub.

The other good thing is the location. It is right by the gate into Disneyland with lots of restaurants nearby.

But the rooms are dumps. Plain and simple. Clean enough, but grimy feeling. Air conditioning units cracked and falling from wall, dusty, dirty windowsills. Our toilet was backed up when we arrived. Staff was very nice and helpful.

I suppose I might stay there again if I found a really good deal, but there are so many other places, with nice pools, that I would likely choose somewhere else.

They may say that Disneyland is the happiest place on earth but the friendliest and most professional is definitely the Ramada Main Gate!
Our experience from the front desk to the employees that work the breakfast area and those that make up the rooms was the best. Everybody there seemed happy and always greeted us with a smile.
Parking is easy and free which is definitely a plus, they even let us stay parked there after our check out so we could still enjoy the rest of our day at Disneyland.
Why would anybody want to stay anywhere else?

I stayed at the main gate-at the park the second week in January. I have stayed there before but this time a friend and I decided on a last minute trip before school starts. So off my friend and I go with 5 kids plus and infant. Yes, 2 moms and 6 kids aging from 4 months to 7 years old! What I love about this hotel is not only is it an easy walk to Disneyland, IT IS SAFE! I feel so comfortable staying here with young kids, even when my husband can't go. The staff is amazing. They are always helpful and informative. The rooms are clean and I never have a problem fitting my Bob duallie stroller through the door or keeping it in the room without folding. This is the only hotel I will stay at when going to Disneyland. Affordable, clean, friendly and easy! I love it!

We booked a two night stay for around low $100s a night in January. We stayed in a double room on the first floor in the 2 story building connected to the four floor building. It was mentioned in a previous review that about 80% of the hotel was already renovated. I believe our room was not renovated and if it was, then my rating goes down to a 3.

Positives:
- Location. 5-7 minute walk across the street to the Disneyland's gates and a 5-10 minute walk to Garden Walk.
- Free parking helps a lot.
- Free breakfast. Although limited to fruit, bagels, donuts, oatmeal, cereal and hard boiled eggs, it was a good snack to start our day.
- In-room refrigerator, microwave and WiFi
- No hidden fees. I did not experience a resort fee or parking fee. All we payed for was room rate and tax.
- Check in and check out was simple, fast (less than 5 minutes) and the front desk was friendly.

Issues for us that may not be issues for others:
- The room itself. It felt small, with low ceilings. The comforter, wool blanket, carpet, and chairs seemed aged and in need of renovating. Everything was functional, except the shower curtain did a poor job of retaining the water in the tub. But the water pressure and warmth was good.
- The breakfast room was extremely small and crowd control was disorganized. It was very hard to get food when it was busy.

Overall, it was a functional motel room with incredibly good location and a friendly front desk staff. Also, FYI, this is the second time in a Ramada and they're rewards program is great. We got our airline miles within a week. Enjoy Disneyland!
