We stayed 3 nights in a pull through at the end of January and had no problems at all. The restrooms/showers are kept very clean and the staff are always doing something around the place. There are a few small patches of grass for the dogs and a larger 50x50ft square near the pool but nothing special.
Disneyland is just across the freeway and a short 10min / $4 a day bus ride, from the front of the park.
The place is well lit and has no fence, so it is open for anyone to walk through - ergo - lock your stuff up...you're in L.A.! We found the surrounding area to be pretty standard for a big city and there is a school right across the street.
We had a site in the middle of the campground and while we could hear freeway noise it was pretty much in the background most of the time and no trouble at night. If you were close to the freeway I would expect it would be louder.
Overall close to Disney, restaurants etc...
