We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in January 2012...booked mainly for the decent rate and proximity to Disneyland area. We booked the rate that included breakfast, but never tried it. Our friends ate there one of the mornings and said it really was not good so we didn't bother. There is an IHOP directly next door that I would suggest instead...or any of the Disney restaurants if you're headed there. The room itself was just adequate, nothing special at all. The AC was very noisy...probably my number 1 complaint. The furniture was sufficient although I thought the color pallete was kind of ugly. I did like the large windows that let in lots of natural light in the morning when we pulled the drapes open. The king bed was fairly comfortable...softer than what most hotels offer, which I like. However, the linens were not nice at all....very thin and rough. The cabinet that the TV sits on doubles as the dresser, I'm assuming....a small set of shelves on each side...no drawers. There was a closet provided which was helpful. I also liked that there was an electronic safe in the room...big enough to fit all of the normal things you would want to lock up....jewelry boxes, ipads, laptops, etc. The bathroom was rather small, but sufficient...no vent to switch on though, and the strange grid-like wall paper was peeling pretty bad in there. Definitely showing it's age. The free wi-fi was useless. We arrived after 11pm on a friday night, and were able to use it for a few minutes before going to bed and then it was down for the rest of our trip, so that was pretty annoying. One other odd thing...when checking in we wanted to go ahead and pay for our room in cash...this seemed to REALLY confuse the desk attendant, but I'm not sure why. We had no problem with leaving the required credit card on file for "incidentals" but for some reason, paying in cash really threw her for a loop...so it took a really long time to get us checked in. Then we find out, thankfully before we walked away, that she had assigned us to a hanicapped room, which we promptly requested that she change. So, make sure you check that before you head up to your room. Fortunately, this hotel is considered a Disney "Good Neighbor" hotel, so if you're there to go to the parks, the Anaheim Resort transportation stops right outside the lobby and will take you to the Disneyland area...it's also a fairly short walk or only about an $8 cab ride if you'd rather not wait for the bus. They are supposed to come about every 20 minutes, but I don't think we waited that long the couple of times we used the bus.
So, this hotel was just ok...we come out here at least once a year for Disneyland. Next time we'll try our luck at a different hotel. There are too many in the area to settle for "just ok."
