Just returned from a 4 night stay here to run the Disney Tinkerbell Half marathon. This hotel was perfectly located to walk to Downtown Disney (short cut through Grand California Hotel to get there) and the parks. As well, it was amazingly close to the start and finish lines for the race. The rooms looked upgraded, very nicely appointed. My only complaint would be that the room smelled a bit stuffy when you first enter it - so we had to sleep with the window open to air it out. But the beds/bedding/pillows were super comfy! One night was very windy, so there was rattling going one. But we opened the bathroom windown and the front window to help with that. Housekeeping was great - we requested more conditioner and we got it every day we were there. The breakfast was decent - pancakes, bagels, donuts and fresh fruit. For the price - this was a great value. The staff was really very polite and helpful.

Also within walking distance was even more restaurants and shops - down to Gardenwalk. We did not have to rent a car - just took a $9 shuttle (Super shuttle) from John Wayne airport which is very close.

The pools/hot tubs were amazing!! The area is well manicured with tons of cute topiaries. It was a great place to lay out in the sun after a very fun race. So for location/price/ammenities, would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at Stovall's in January 2012. Arrived at 8.45pm just in time to see the fireworks at Disneyland from the hotel. Great start to the holiday. Spacious, clean and well appointed room. Ten minute walk to Disneyland. Very reasonably priced including satisfying breakfast. Staff very pleasant.

Ok, so, I travel for business 5 days a week and I get to see many many hotels; having said that, here are the top 3 reasons why Stovall's Inn will be MY only Disneyland hotel :

1) Location - an easy walk to Disney and CA Adventures gates, I would say an 8 minute walk. Also, head down Katella and turn right at Harbor and go down about 2 miles and you have tons of stores and a variety of places to eat. POLLO NORTENO is just down Harbor and OMG, beats Pollo Loco a million times over!!! We saw Denny's, Subways, RiteAid, Pizza places, CPK, Cheescake Factory, PF Changs straight down Katella as well. There's also an Albertsons, Target and a Ross on Harbor for those last minute things you will need.

2) GREAT STAFF - I can't think of anything to complain about. Polite and helpful from the front desk down to the cleaning crew who helped me find an awesome local swapmeet. We visited during the week and my kids had some school work to work on, but I forgot to bring pencils, the front desk looked for and found a couple of pencils for US!!! totally above and beyond - if you ask me!

3) Property - Ok, so, this IS a BestWestern NOT the Double Tree! The rooms serve their purpose, they are super clean and have an updated decor which makes it feel upscale. the only "BUT" has to be the carpet in our room, it wasnt DIRTY but not as clean as the rest of the property. I totally understand the cost to replace and I also understand that some guests may not be as conscience and respectful as to try NOT to damage or soil private property : (
AWESOME pools!!!! They have two swimming pools, one heated, one not and 2 hot tubs!!!
The pool area is clean and feels luxurious!

I feel I have reviewed too much but it's only because my family really enjoyed our stay! You will too!!!!

Room was great. Can't beat the location. Staff were helpful and attentive. Breakfast was also very good- but they had some of the WORST coffee imaginable- also no half and half available.
