“Loved our Hotel!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We had room 339, HIGHLY recommended! Had a king bed in the main room, good sized fridge & microwave, 2nd room had a pullout sofa sleeper and a bunk bed. Only drawbacks: No windows opened for circulation and the 2nd room got kind of stuffy. Kids didn't complain at all though! Only one bathroom made it challenging, but seriously we were only in the room at night and left early in the mornings. The kids loved the pool and hot tub! The walk, well, it IS long...we opted for the transit 2 of our 7 days, walked the other 5. It's about 20 minutes or so which doesn't seem bad, but after being in the park for 12 or more hours, it's LONG!

Our room was SO QUIET every night and the bed was SO COMFY we slept GREAT the whole week! Only our last night three tour busses of kids pulled in and they were rowdy. Quiet at night but rowdy at 7:00am. Check to see if the hotel has a big group coming in before booking! Otherwise it was just super quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! And the price couldn't be beat!!

Special thanks to hotel attendant CRUZ!! She went to bat for us when we had shuttle issues! But all of the staff were incredible and we have no complaints what-so-ever! Would highly recommend the hotel and can't wait to stay there again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor, we could see the fireworks from our room! The corner suite we had...

“Great family stay at Raffles”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

My wife, two young toddlers enjoyed a great stay at Raffles Feb 2-5 at Raffles. I had read up on most of the hotels in the area and decided on BW Raffles because it had seperate sleeping area for the kids with bunk beds, breakfast was included and it was close to Disney. We knew about the parking problem and the resort fee of about 10 bucks a day so it wasn't an issue. Their is not enough parking on busy nights. We only got blocked in on our last night which was a Saturday night. I let the night manager know that we needed to get out and we were on our way in 5 minutes. We booked the Family Suite that is basically one long room seperated in the middle with a door. Each area had its own TV and AC so we could moderate the temps for the kids. Our portion of the room had the fridge and microwave. The fridge was great for the kids milk and juice. The room was clean, well equipped and just what we needed for our stay. Not sure how someone could begin to compare this to a Motel 6. Not even close. Is it the Ritz? Absolutely not but its a fantastic family orientated hotel with the right mix of amentities. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean and inviting. Breakfast at the hotel was a huge part of why we chose the property. We didn't want to have to take the kids offsite for breakfast. It would have taken too much time and have been more expensive. I factored that in to my rate before we booked. We took the shuttle to Disney twice for two days and it worked flawlessly. We bougth the tickets onsite at the little convenience store that sells all the essentials including $1.00 bottled water. Breakfast choices included eggs, sausage, assorted cereals, oatmeal, mini muffins, bread for toast, english muffins, donuts, fresh waffles, oranges, apples, juice, coffee and hot cocoa. We found the breakfast selections to be on par or even better than other suites motels. Over all we had a great stay and would definitely book again. Everyone was very friendly including the breakfast room staff which were really hopping due the number of people wanting to eat. I wish I could remember the name of the young gal that checked us in. She started us off on a great stay.

Room Tip: We chose the Anaheim Family Suite. It had a queen in one room with its own TV and AC unit and than...

“Why stay here?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

I'm trying to think of a reason for staying at this hotel but really cannot come up with one.

My family recently spent 5 nights at the hotel, on a Disneyland vacation of sorts.
I initially found the hotel to be similar to that of a Motel 6, from years ago. On the street side, the hotel looks appealing, but when you enter the parking lot, it stops there. The building looks old and the parking lot has seen better days.

Since we were traveling with a teenager, we booked a room that offered 2 bathrooms and a second room (bedroom). The second bathroom really came in handy. I was a little dissapointed by the bedroom aspect, it had a set of bunk beds and a sofa bed which required moving all the furniture to let it out. The room does not have it's own air conditioning unit, instead it has a exhaust fan in the wall to help "pull" air in to the room, it didn't really help that much. We did ask for a floor fan which staff graciously brought to us.
Overall the rooms were acceptable.

The pool/spa area is really lacking. The hotel mentions on their website that they recently completed a million dollar renovation, but I don't think it included the pool area. I was dissapointed with what the whole area looked like, in addition, when my son and I were in the hot tub, the water smelled terrible, like it didn't have any chlorine in it at all.

The location of the hotel is within walking distance to AM/PM and Denny's, with a little further walk you can get to IHop. It is right on the Anaheim resort bus line, wihich makes getting to Disney very easy, the hotel gift shop also sells tickets. Some reviewers mention that it is a 15-20 minute walk to Disneyland, but I would argue this is not the case. It is a bit further than that, if you're going to be walking at Disney all day, save your feet and take the bus.

The hotel also offers a continental breakfast. Your standard waffle maker, bread/muffins and cold donuts from the grocery store and cereals. They also had bacon/sausage and pre-formed egg patties in a warmer. If you have kids traveling with you, this would certainly be an advantage.

For the money, I would find a hotel a little closer to Disney, there really was't anything special about this hotel that would make me want to go back, especially not with all the choices in the area. I think in order for BW to remain competitive, this hotel really needs to step up their game a bit, a little granite and new bedding in the room doesn't cut it anymore.

Room Tip: If you get a room with a second bedroom, keep in mind that it does not have it's own air conditi...

“Clean, great for families budget friendly for 5+ people”

We stayed here May 27-June 6 2011, in a 2 queen, 2 bathroom, 2 tvs, with bunk beds and a couch, frdge and microwave on 3rd floor room in the middle. our room was clean and fully functioning. the layout was fine but the ac didnt circulate air very well into the kids room, (mino) but if weaqther was super hot it could be an issue. Not old but not new furnishingings- but who needs flat screen TVs while on a DL vacation, however i have heard since then they are currently remolding ALOT!

there were some minor construction/remodeling on the first floor but it didn't affect anything,

the elevator is small, old school- but fully functioning and get the job done!!!

Breakfast was good, nice dining area. The pool was clean and always used!!! Parking was packed at night and vacant daily- we didn't drive but we had local visitors and didn't notice any issues either

our biggest issue was the railing in the 3rd level it was shaky to the touch. . kinda creepy, we reported and they seemed concerned.

the ART stops right out front, which was great but we could walk faster then the ride especially on the way back to the hotel when leaving the park- we walked to Disneyland, 10-15 minutes we had a group of 7 including, including an infant in a stroller and a teen in a wheelchair. We did see a bum sleeping in a bench but that's no different then out home state of Colorado.. the area is nice, common sense wont hurt. I NOT once felt unsafe, EVER!!

hotel was occupied by tons of families, so noise with kids is expected. inside the rooms you didn't hear anything from the room next door.

i received a package and a letter via the mail and ups while there, the front desk staff delivered it on arrival.
