“2nd stay here, very happy both times.”

Did a trip to Disneyland in December and stayed at the Hilton Anaheim for 2nd time. Both times have been a great stay. The staff are very nice and helpful. The room was very nice and spacious. Very easy to catch the shuttle to and from Disneyland. The parking in garage is pricey, but where isn't it these days? The lobby is very nice. There is nothing to complain about at this hotel. I highly recommend it for anyone coming to DisneyLand from out of state!

“Good hotel with very good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I spent one night here on a business trip that was unrelated to Disneyland. I got a reasonable rate and a Hilton Honors upgrade to a "Disney view" room on a high floor. I could not actually see Disneyland because of some new construction, but it was nice to see the fireworks. The lobby area is a bit cavernous and complex, but the room was spacious and comfortable. I had a simple, tasty, and reasonably priced breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. It was not a particularly memorable experience but there was nothing at all to complain about, which is saying something at hotels these days. Disneyland visitors should be particularly happy with the location, which is perhaps a ten-minute walk or a five-minute shuttle ride from the main gate.

Dear AssimilatedCajun,

The Hilton Anaheim is happy to hear that you had a productive stay during your business trip. Your loyalty as a Hilton HHonors member is truly important to us. We are happy to hear that we were able to upgrade you to one of our Disney views. You’re loyalty is our priority and being upgraded is just one of the many perks that we like to provide to our Hilton HHonors members.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our MIX Restaurant breakfast. We also have our outlet restaurants such as Sturbucks, Baja Fresh, Just Grillin’, Sbarro and Submarina all which are located in the Hilton Anaheim’s lobby. Our location and hotel amenities offer a unique experience for both the busy business traveler and leisure traveler.

Just as you mentioned the Disneyland Resort is experiencing construction and expansion of their Disney’s California Adventure park. A new area called Cars Land. We want to see you again soon, hopefully for more than just one night next time. That way you’ll give us the opportunity to turn that “not particularly memorable experience” into one that you will thoroughly enjoy and never forget.

Thank you again for your kinds words and we hope to see you again soon at the Hilton Anaheim.

Best regards,
Jennifer Sacks, Guest Satisfaction Manager

“Top notch hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

After a long day driving from all the way from Vegas I was looking forward to a beer, something to eat and a good night's sleep.

When we arrived we found there was a convention on that night and the lobby was absolutely packed, we checked in and the lady was very charming and welcoming. My first impression was that the hotel was modern, clean, in a good location and certainly popular.

Our room was right beside an elevator, add that to the convention and the kids using the elevator as a toy ... all night ... you get the picture. In and out of sleep all night until about 7AM when I cracked and went downstairs to vent.

The lady was apologetic and gave us another room but I had to ask for the first night to be deducted from the bill. As I wandered off to get some coffee and a bite to eat I was wondering what sort of place we'd ended up in.

I didn't need to be concerned, for the rest of our stay everything was absolutely brilliant, the room, staff, food, facilities and location are all excellent. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and quiet (rooms 4xx).

Lots of restaurants downstairs, a starbucks and a shop, the bar menu is simple and tasty and the food in the hotel restaurant was delicious if a little expensive.

The hotel is right next door to Disney so the ideal location if that's your thing, alternatively there's good facilities nearby, a shopping mall, cinema, restaurant, bars and shops. LA is LA so you've got to drive and it seemed to be 30/35 minutes to everywhere we wanted to visit. I was surprised to have to pay for parking as a guest but I guess that's the norm in this city.

This review may have started like I was going to slate the place, far from it, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to you.

PS.
Shortly after I returned home I got an email from the hotel enquiring after my stay, I reported the issue I had and was replied to promptly by one of the managers (Fred) offering me a 2 night stay when next I'm in LA, I must say that was a first for me and I will take him up on it :).

Room Tip: Make sure your room is far away from the elevators

“Just meh.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Stayed here in January 2012 for my husband and I's honeymoon, stayed 5 nights and I was super excited to be staying in a 4 star hotel! Boy...was I wrong, this hotel should have been rated as a 3 star..(or less)
The Pros: When we checked into the hotel we asked if we could have a free upgrade since it was our honeymoon and we wanted a room that faced Disneyland. At first the lady was very 'no free upgrades you need to pay 20 dollars a night to have a room that faces Disney'..but then she must have felt sorry for us, and gave us a corner room that faced Disney. (With no smile on her face..gees!) The bed's are nice and comfy.
The Cons: the bathrooms are SUPER TINY. I banged my shin on the toilet while trying to turn the water on to take a shower. (I'm not a huge person either.) There is no fridge so you can't keep your water bottles cold, or go out to buy fresh fruit for breakfast. And you have to pay for wireless internet. (boo..) I found the times that housekeeping would come to clean the room to be either really early in the morning, (7.55am we got a knock on the door) or else really late in the afternoon (after 2pm). The walls are paper thin. Paper thin, you can hear everything! For parking you have to pay 15 dollars a day, but since we booked with Westjet Vacations the parking was 5 dollars a day instead. The food at the resturant in the Hilton was not that fab..stay away from the breakfast buffet please, save your 50 dollars and go else where, my husband and I got sick from that buffet. I was disappointed when we checked out of the hotel, no one asked how our stay was! And lastly, if your going to Disneyland, just walk across the street and save your money and hop on the free shuttle bus instead of paying! Next time we will be staying else where.

Room Tip: Corner Room is nice and you get alot of sunlight and face Disney :D

Dear letravel403-

We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to review the Hilton Anaheim, Orange County's 3.5 star, full-service hotel and recently awarded the Green Seal for sustainability; making us the largest hotel in Southern California to receive such a prestigious award. We know that we won't always be able to meet all of our guests needs, but we certainly aim to do so which is why I'd like to apologize on our hotel's behalf if you did not find some of our offerings to your liking. We'll certainly share your thoughts with our team so that we can grow and learn from your experience. It is a shame that you did not find our buffet to your liking as it's by far one of our guest favorites. Perhaps next time you're in town and stay with us, we can have you sample our Breakfast again and see if it was just a fluke? Also, just for future reference, there is no free shuttle to Disneyland. Our entire Resort District relies on the ART Bus (Anaheim Resort Transportation) to take every visitor to and from our hotels to Disneyland. It's quite a nominal fee and you can hop on or hop off as many times as you please while you’re here.

Once again, thank you kindly for sharing your experience with us and we hope to see you again in the near future!

All the best,
Jennifer Sacks, Guest Satisfaction Manager
