“Great Price, Poor Quality!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The room smelled very musty, the floors creaked when you walked on them, and our door needed two more inches on the bottom! Our 1 year old excaped all the time because the inside door did not lock. You can hear everyones conversations and activity in their rooms as you walked down the hall. Continental Breakfast was not to thrilling. We always got our towels by 8pm during the evening and one of our rooms was never cleaned. The pool was not heated like they told me while booking, and the excercise room has 20 year old equipment.(3 pieces). It was located by a supermarket, kmart, and walgreens which was helpful but my family was quite disappointed!

Room Tip: get a hotel closer to disneyland!

“Gross, Disgusting Hole”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

I stayed here three times. The first time it was OK the second time worse and the third time a disaster. I will not let convenience override my tolerance of disgust this time. This is a one star place and I cannot believe it is rated as high as three stars by many websites. The carpets looked and smelled like they have been vomited on many times and had not been replaced for 20 years. The Kitchen was ill equipped. The furniture was in disrepair and very ugly. We had to go and buy an airbed because the sofa bed was not possible to sleep in for my nanny. The sheets and towels were full of holes. The walls scarred and damaged. This place is basically a dump more suited for welfare cases - except they have the nerve to charge 3 star rates. This place should absolutely be no more than $29-$39 a night. Service wise we booked for 3 adults and 2 children but arrived to two sets of towels, no sheets for the extra sofabed. It took us several hours to get that remedied

Be aware the pictures lie - completely. They are clearly posting their own positive reviews as there is just no way I am that far off base. Clearly they also own the Pepper Tree as well so cross that one off your list as well

Room Tip: Move along to another place

“Lemon Tree Hotel, the good, the bad , and the ugly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

When we arrived the desk staff asked if we wanted to look at the room before we agreed to pay for it, this was ominious, and we should have looked first. Room 108 was dumpy to say the least.
The good; The pool area was nice, lobby area was clean, and the location to Disneyland is good, but you will need a car.
The bad; The wifi internet you pay for was hit and miss, the kitchen suite we paid for was not fully stocked with pots and cooking utensils, there is a lot of traffic noise on that side, the air conditioners are noisy and either cook you or freeze you. The maids disappeared the last three days of the stay, and even after being out all day the beds were not made, nor the garbage emptied.
The ugly; The shower / bathroom area had mold growing on the wall, with peeling paint , and cracks in the plaster . The faucet in the tub was siezed and took me 20 minutes to get unstuck, followed by a shower that scalded you, then froze you . The beds are totally worn out and the rest of the room just looked really tired, like its 15 years overdue for a reno. New paint wouldn't help this room and the website and pictures are very misleading . The website makes it look like fauxtina, when really the place was just dumpy and run down. I would never stay here again at any price.

Room Tip: Stay away from room 108 as well as the street side.

“WORST Hotel experience - dirty and disgusting!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

This hotel is more like a 1-2 star quality. The furniture is very outdated. The carpet was stained throughout the suite. The room smelled very old and dirty which is probably due to the disgusting carpet and stinky futon that smelled like urine.

The staff were unfriendly and inefficient. I waited for over 15 mins when trying to check in at 4pm because there was no one at the front desk. When I asked for extra blankets around 8pm, I didn't get them until 1am! Daniel didn't even bother to let me know that it would take that long.

I spent over $125 for one night here and it was definitely one of the worst hotel experiences ever. I will never even consider staying at this location again!

“Totally misled by Orbitz.com!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2011

The pictures offered on the Lemon Tree's website and Orbitz are very misrepresentative of the actual rooms. This is not a hotel!! I've stayed in Motel 6s that were far superior than this. The rooms are not decorated as they are in the pictures, the room stunk of mildewed towels or carpet, the room was not ready upon our check-in, we were given one single wash rag, we're surrounded by total ghetto, and so on ad infinitum. When I placed my reservations online through Orbitz I was shown a picture of a beautiful suite and told this was the room I'd be getting. Not so. This is a flea-bag MOTEL! As one other reviewer stated, these rooms are also the permanent residences of some people.
