“Lack of Customer Service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2010

Even though room was clean the lack of customer of service was very much lacking. At time of my registering I needed to buy tickets for Disneyland(been my first time) I needed to buy a 2Day Hopper. I approached the clerk about buying such ticket, she gave me two tickets for the price of $300. 00. I asked her a couple of times if this is correct and she said in very rude way, Yes of Course. So, I went ahead and paid for these tickets. In the meantime, I called home and asked my Mother if this was okay with the amount paid for these tickets. She responded absoutely not. All needed to pay was $151.00. My Mother suggested for me to ask for a refund on the second ticket. So, I approaced the Manager of this place and she refuesed to work with me. The Manager did not even give a chance to talk to her, she continued to decline to work with me. So, at this time I ended losing $150.00 and very much hurt by the way I was treated. The Manager was not willing to offer any thing at all. My family and I will never go back to this place. We will never recommend this place to our friends. By the way this place is located in a very bad area. The walk to Disneyland is not a very safe one

“What a wonderful surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2010

My son and I went to Anaheim for four days. The hotel was much more than we expected.
The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to be able to make our own meals. The dishwasher and fridge were newer. The bathroom was very clean. The only thing that could have been better was the water pressure but not a huge deal.

The staff were so helpful. We arrived late in the night and they still had our room reserved for us. The front desk person helped my 5 year old son and I get our luggage to the room.

The disneyland shuttle stops at the hotel and parking was free and safe. But walking to the park took only 25 minutes.

We will definitely stay here again

This place was bad from the moment we checked in. When we tried to check in they said there were no rooms available even though we had reservations and the hotel clerk told us to go to Disneyland. After an extremely tiring day at Disneyland, my family and I still had trouble checking in. The manager had a bad attitude for no reason. After we FINALLY checked in, we came to our room only to find disgusting blood stains on the sheets that still looked fresh. Also there were white and black stains on one of the other sheets and it also had loose hairs. We were so tired from all the crap we had to deal with that we just slept without those sheets. We had a 3 day pass to Disneyland and after the second day my cousins and I were tired again and just wanted relax in the spa. After reaching the 3rd floor where the spa was located, out key was not accepted by the lock mechanism on the rusted gate. Through the gate and even outside of the gate, we noticed trash bags and beer bottles everywhere as if we had just missed a frat party. Disappointed from not being able to relax in the spa, we decided to head back to our room. My brother needed a bandaid for a cut he received previously. When he went to go ask at the front desk for some first aid, he was told that "the hotel did not offer any kind of first aid and he could go to the 7-11 a block away" in the middle of the night. The game room and exercise room were anything but what they were called. The game room was actually a storage room and the lock mechanism was broken on the door. The gym consisted of two treadmills, an elliptical machine and a crappy bowflex type of machine that didn't even adjust. Also there was no wifi and the hotel sold an Ethernet cable for $10. There was no breakfast and the hotel's convenient store that consisted of a few items was extremely over priced. Other than that, the bathrooms were okay but towels weren't replaced daily and if you wanted new ones, you would have to take your old towels down to the front desk to get some new ones. Also housekeeping comes only once a week so you better try to keep your room clean. The distance to Disneyland was okay but to find the hotel was tricky. My cousin even asked the 7-11where the hotel was but they didn't know where it was even though it was very close to it. Shows how popular this place is. It was a horrible experience and we strongly do not recommend this "hotel" to anybody.

“yea...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2010

From the outside the Greenwood Suites looks like any other suite located around Disneyland for all the masses of family's to stay at, but from the inside I acquired a different perspective...
We booked our stay from Hotwire which at the time seemed like a good deal, Location was good, shuttle service, spa, internet, exercise room, game room, but upon arriving the hidden fees (resort/parking/transit) was something like an additional 60 dollars. We arrived in the evening after a long day at Disneyland/California adventure, I had asked the front desk attendant for directions to a grocery store and was sent on a stressful 2 hour excursion around Anaheim searching for so called 24 hour businesses that were absolutely not open (CVS). After I got back from Walmart (which seemed like the third world version) I wanted to take my brother and sister to the spa and just relax. I tried to ignore the carpets in the hallway as they looked as if they hadn't been renovated, or cleaned for that matter in years. We arrived to the spa on the 3rd floor which had a bag of trash floating in it, and oh did I mention the water was ice cold? It was obvious nobody had tended to this thing in awhile, and after about a minute of silence we all slowly walked back towards our room just to be slapped in the face again as the key they had just given us had no longer worked. At this point we were locked on the balcony with nothing but our bathing suites, Luckily we were able to jump the fence which placed us back in parking facility and miraculously the key worked again.
At first glance the room actually didn't look half bad as I continued towards unloading my computer gear at the desk to get some work done. Having internet was a big deal for me, as I needed to get some work done at night after our daily Disney rituals. I searched for a wireless network and there was none to be found, I called the front desk and asked what the deal was with their internet and the attendant informed me that they have a T1 line but didn't provide ethernet cords and tried to loan me one for ten dollars (deposit). At this point I was pissed and just wanted to get some work done, I then learned that they didn't even have an ethernet cord to loan me and asked me to come back in the morning...
The next day as we were all getting ready to depart I attempted to make some coffee with the provided pot. Within minutes hot water and coffee flow uncontrollably from all ends of the machine and land everywhere but the freaking pot like a possessed brown geyser and actually manages to burn my mothers hand pretty bad, simultaneously I hear my sister in the bathroom yelling that the hairdryer wasn't working and that the toilet wouldn't stop flushing as the chair my brother is sitting on (at the desk) literally falls apart while he's eating his breakfast. It felt as if the Greenwood Suites were falling apart from the inside out. So yea its safe to say that morning sucked pretty bad but everyone sucked it up because we were about to go to the "happiest place on earth". We arrived back from Disneyland about ten hours later exhausted and noticed that our room hadn't been cleaned while we were gone, we called the front desk and they told us they only clean the rooms once a week?!?!? I knew that wasn't true because we saw maids cleaning the room right next to ours as we left earlier that day.
Since there was no pool (or spa) we decided to check out the game room and fitness center. We arrived at the door to the game room with a sign on the door saying we had to approach it from the other side because the locking mechanism (HA!) didn't work. My brother and I first checked out the game room which consisted of two broken treadmills, some chairs and an old billiard table with no balls, nor cue's and had a tarp over it...awesome. So after we ruled out the "game room" we then checked out the fitness room. When we arrived my brother and I couldn't help but laugh, it appeared that someone running on a treadmill had fallen and had been projected into the giant mirror and broken it, but besides the comical broken glass the fitness center consisted of a variety of typical machines you would expect to see at a hotel, a little cramped but not too bad. On our way back to our room we happened to encounter several interesting things as well. As we passed one room there was loud reggae music with the powerful aroma of marijuana seeping from under the door, a couple doors from that I caught glimpse as a door closed of a room a bit smaller than ours being used as a small call center with about 4 people (wearing turbans) whom sat around a circular table speaking an unfamiliar language...weird
Overall not an extremely desirable location, if the place would invest some money and fix the place up it wouldn't be half bad...meh

“Could be so much better...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2010

if only the staff at this hotel would try a little harder. Room and bathroom appear to be new, nice fixtures, shower and so forth but the staff at this hotel is not very well trained and not courteous. Upon arrival we were even missing the top sheet on the bed. Called the front desk and was told the clerk was the only one there and couldn't leave the desk, we had to go downstairs to pick up our sheet. Towels are only replaced weekly, if you want more or new towels you have to pick them up at the front desk as well. One day our room wasn't made at all, even though we left early. Came back later afternoon and found that the trash had been emptied, cabinets left open, but nothing else was done.

Beds not very comfortable, pillows felt old.

Beware that there are NO rollaway beds at this hotel.

The walk to Disneyland is a little far but okay, about 20 minutes if you walk fast. They do sell tickets for the Anaheim Resort Transfer bus at the front desk, for cash only! You can get tickets on the bus from the driver but they will charge 3 Dollars one way instead of 4 Dollars for the whole day. No thanks!!

We got a great deal through Hotwire so I did not make any major complaints, but I would never stay at this hotel again, especially not for the regular price!
