I can tell you that this hotel does not care what you think about it. We called this hotel directly to express our concerns in their take on "hospitality": Which as recently noted, involves personal attacks on consumer reviews and public shaming. Please take some ownership!
I encourage you to scan back through the reviews and look at the way this hotel responds, and can tell you from first hand experience they are just like this in person. I would also encourage you to look at local hotels in the area and spend the extra 50 bucks a night for a better experience.
As for my stays:
I have nothing outrageously terrible to say about this hotel. I have nothing moderately terrible to say about this hotel. It is, just a hotel. There is a bed to sleep in, and you will have a decent night's sleep. There is a shower, and you can bathe in it and then afterwards, there are these things called towels which you can dry yourself off with. It is several blocks away from Disneyland, but hey, you've walked all day, you can walk some more. My husband and I stayed here multiple times in 2010 and 2011. We are annual passholders and until summer of last year, this hotel was one of the cheaper, better options out there. The experience is very hands off/bare bones depending on the way you look at it. It serves its purpose. That being said, the staff's apathy soon grated on us, until one night when checking in, we decided not to stay there- paid the full night anyway because of the cancellation policy, and found a "home" of sorts in the nearby Hampton inn. They are very willing to negotiate on price, the service in impeccable and they have a free shuttle to Disneyland.
Last stay at the cortona was in July of 2011, we are never looking back.
