“Perfect for vacationing... When you'd rather spend money on other things!!”

We picked this hotel as part of an Expedia package, SO glad we did. We had DLand tickets, plus a full schedule of other things, and really just needed a place to sleep and shower. This place is very clean, the front desk is very helpful, there is a fridge and microwave if you're buying food to make instead of eating out, not much of a continental breakfast but we just bought a bag of cereal, milk and some throw away bowls and spoons. It's not a super fancy resort hotel, I would not plan on using the pool... No lights or chairs (could just be a winter time thing?) but for families on a budget it is awesome.

“Great accomodation, cheap price, friendly staff, conveniently located.”

We were visitng USA from Australia and emailed to arrange the booking. Snhel the manager was friendly and extremley helpful. We weren't expecting much for $40 bucks a night but boy were we pleasently surprised. The room was big, the beds and pillows were comfy and breakfast was provided(selection of donuts and juices). The staff are FANTASTIC! They booked all our tickets for tours, called our taxi's and were always willing to help no matter the time of day/night. The cleaning staff are friendly and efficent and the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to a laundromat, food outlets and Disneyland. There is also a shuttle bus that picks u up from the front of the hotel to take u to Disneyland for 3 bucks a day. At night we stood outside our hotel room and watched the fireworks from Disneyland(yep there THAT close!) I would recomend this hotel to anyone who is visitng the area for the first time as the staff are extremley helpful and it is convenintly located. It was the cheapest hotel we stayed at our entire trip but the NICEST one. When we return in November we will be booking here again!

“Clean and close to everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

We stayed at this hotel from Jan 25 to Feb 1 - family of 4 (including a 4 year old and an almost 2 year old).

First of all the hotel doesnt have layaway beds or cribs so if you require one of these you should consider bringing your own playpen for your little one.

We found the place to be clean and recently renovated both from inside and outside. This is a small family owned place. It is very clean. The outside of the hotel has been recently renovated. It does NOT have an elevator so if you require one, good advise would be to request a room on the first floor so you dont have to go up the stairs. We had a double stroller so i had requested a room on the first floor well in advance and we had a room on the first floor when we arrived. The inside of the room is clean as well. I have been to another motel in Florida that had a microwave and fridge and never had i seen appliances as clean as the ones that were at Americas Best Inn. The fridge inside was spotless, no smell and same as the microwave. We had a room with 2 beds, we pushed the beds together and made one huge king size bed for me, hubby and daughter to sleep in while my baby son slept in his own playpen (which i had to bring due to the hotel not having any). The bathroom was very clean, granite countertops, updated faucets, no prob with water or heater. The beds were comfortable, the comforters were a little outdated but they served their purpose. the room is huge, theres not a lot of drawer space for a family of 4, there is a closet with a hanger but only 4-5 hangers provided. the room itself is very big but not alot of drawer space. The lighting was horrible, i wish there was more lighting, even if you turned on all the lights in the room you could barely have suffient light to read something. I have read other reviews that the floors are soooo dirty. I will admit they are DUSTY so when you step on them with bare feet yes your feet will turn black but they are not DIRTY. there was nothing on the floor, the room was cleaned very well.
Tv was good, had HBO, lots LOTS of channels, this place even had an alarm clock (something you dont find often at hotels anymore).
Place is walking distance to disneyland, yes it is a veryyy busy highway type of road BUT we walked to and from disneyland everyday with 2 small kids in a stroller and had no prob, approx 10-15 min walk. This place is close to EVERYTHING. If you go up the road you will see mcDonalds including a play area for the kids, Burger King, which also includes play area for the kids, theres lots of other fast food places as well. in addition, it is 5 minute walk from El Super, which is by far the CHEAPEST GROCERY place i have ever seen in my life. Can read seperate review on El Super. If you go down the road you will go down to Disneyland.

Breakfast: it was a choice of donuts (white powdered, chocolate, crumbles, or apple cinnamon strudel type). They were delicious. Maybe not the most healthiest option but you are on vacation, im sure a week of donuts will not kill you. Also they have three types of delicious juice. The reason im ssaying its delicious is because my kids are VERY picky eaters and they dont drink just any type of juice, they loved this juice. I think they have coffee as well but as a non coffee drinker i cant really comment on that.

The service was very good, twice we required the assistance of the owners (once to request an extra blanket, another time there was an issue with our reservations with a bus shuttle that was supposed to take us to universal studios). They were very helpful and went out of their way to assist us. The wife is very friendly and has great customer service skills.

Cant comment on the pool as honestly i didnt see it, we were at disney all day so didnt really have any further time to spend at a pool.

Also, i had read in other reviews that it is in a bad location. Im no expert about the locations in Anaheim but me and my husband did not have a car and we only walked everywhere and we felt safe at this place, many times we walked outside to the nearby gas station to see the fireworks, or walked over to fast food places at night or walked to El Super and do not see why others would say it is in a bad neighbourhood. The hotel itself is right beside an alcohol and drug REHAB Centre, but that shouldnt constitute it being in a bad location. Most people on the street that I saw were families with small kids and alot of Mexicans. We love mexicans and all the mexican stores so i would say this place is in an excellent locations, family oriented neighbourhood. Its right beside an elementary school as well!

In conclusion:

Pros: clean hotel, safe location, close to Disneyland, close to food and shopping, big rooms, clean appliances

Cons: VERY thin walls, we were woken up a couple of times from loud talking of neighboring visitors and because we were on the first floor, were woken up a couple of times by cars driving in and out. To others, this may be a big problem, but for us having two kids we are sooo used to being woken up a couple of times in the middle of the night. This could also have happened becuase we were on the first floor.
Another con is that theres no elevators so unless you have a room on the first floor, be prepared to bring your luggage up the stairs.

Suggestions to hotel: more lighting inside the room. this would make the room a little more brighter, more drawer space and/or hangers. There was honestly not a lot of drawer space for a family of 4. Drawers may be too costly so I would seriously just suggest getting more hangers for the closet, can get those hangers that are attached to the bar so visitors wont be able to take the hangers.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay, we've been to over 6 hotels JUST IN THE LAST YEAR and for the price that we paid for this place it was well worth it. Its close to disneyland so you dont have to rely on shuttles and taxis and cars, the place is clean for your family, it has clean and functioning appliances will save you a ton of money on food (i would get frozen macaroni and cheese food for the kids so when we got home after a long day and we'ere all tired would just pop one in the microwave and eat it). Safe location and helpful staff.

Any questions, message me.

Room Tip: Request first floor room if you cant do stairs, as there is no elevator

“Good value, but powdered doughnuts are not breakfast.”

On the outset this hotel is fantastic for what you pay (for us was $40 a night). The beds are comfy and the rooms are a good size and clean. But it's not a fancy hotel. The location is good, you can walk to disneyland in 10 minutes and there is a shuttle right outside the door. The staff are a little strange, and we were asked not once but 3 times to "leave a 10/10 review on tripadvisor and booking.com" which we thought was very unprofessional. This place is great as a place to crash after a full day at disneyland. As many people have said don't rely on this breakfast, chocolate coated doughnuts and dodgy danishes make not a breakfast - there is a starbucks around the corner though.
All in all a good value place to stay in a good location near disneyland.
