I came down for our now annual trip to Disneyland for New Years Eve. The last two trips to Disneyland, I stayed ant the Camelot Inn and Suites, but decided for a change. I booked through the Military, and after booking, realized the hotel was a bit further away that I had thought. I was bummed about not being able to refund, but thank God I couldn't.
We checked in about 10PM on December 30th. The first thing we noticed was how good the lobby smelled. The front desk staff were all wide awake and friendly. We immediately recieved $50.00 vouchers for the restuarants onsite, and told we got free parking. What, really?!?
When we got to our floor (11), we realized it was the "Executive Level." How did we swing this? All of a sudden, the longer walking distance to Disneyland seemed okay.
We decided to get ART tickets for New Years Eve, because our feet would be way too tired to walk back at 2:00 in the morning. We also rode the transit to the park, because...well, why do any extra walking when you don't have to, if you're going to be on your feet all day? 24 hour tickets on ART were $4.00 for an adult, and the hotel is the first stop on the line (there's only about six stops, the transit has several different, short routes). I'd guess that it would've taken us less than ten minutes to walk to the park, but we don't have young children.
We had breakfast at Molly's both mornings (spent almost the whol $50.00, hey free breakfast!). Good food, but not gourmet. Good, friendly, fast service).
The beds were so comfortable, and they looked so comfortable that we had to take pictures of them and post them on Facebook to rub it in the faces of our friends who decided to book "cheaper" hotels.
I will definately stay here again.
Room Tip: If you would like to see the fireworks at Disney, ask for a "view room."
