“Great Disney Hotel”

We recently returned from a wonderful trip to Disneyland. Our party consisted of 2 adults and our 4 year old boy. We arrived Tues. Jan. 31 and departed Sat. Feb.4. We decided to save some money by staying off site, but at a hotel that was a short walk to the park. We also thought we would spend a fair amount of time in the room during the afternoons, while our son took a nap. Therefore, we wanted a hotel room that would be clean, nice and relaxing to hang out in. Well, we ended up staying in the park all day everyday. We are glad we picked Fairfield. The rooms are recently remodeled and very nice, we stayed in a standard room, not a Disney room. If you stay on the park side of the hotel, you would not even know that there is a highway on the other side. It is very quiet. We only heard noise when loud kids walked in front of our room. We will return.

This hotel is directly across the street from Disneyland. The walk from the hotel lobby to the actual entrance of Disneyland or California Adventure is maybe 10 minutes at the most.

There are other hotels closer to the entrance, but Fairfield has a good restaurant assortment and nice rooms. McDonalds is in the adjacent lot, basically the parking lot. Millie’s is located at the entrance to the hotel. Mimi’s is located on the north side of the property. We really enjoyed Mimi’s and ate a large breakfast there every morning. They do have a small Pizza Hut Express and market in the hotel. They stay open a little later than the parks, but I would check on the hours. They closed up at 9pm on our Tuesday.

We took the Disneyland Express from John Wayne and to LAX. People give it great reviews, but I’m not really sure why. It is the most expensive shuttle and unless you are staying at a Disneyland property, you will be making multiple stops at other locations. Disneyland Express only drops you off at the street. The lobby to the Fairfield is a good long city block from the street, so not the best access. I would suggest another shuttle that actually drops you off at the lobby.

“Great place to see Mickey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Have stayed at this hotel 3 times. Each time was great. The hotel is very near Disneyland. Easily walking distance. You are able to see the nightly fireworks from the hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

“Summer Fun But Small Rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This hotel was nice. It was a 10 min walk to Disneyland. The rooms were on the small-ish side. Bathrooms were really small and tawels were rough and thin. The rooms were very clean along with the bathrooms. On a side note, the hotel messed up our reservatio0n which included a wheelchair accessible room.

“Great!”

After a 20 hour journey to USA, it was amazing to get into a hotel room which was beyond clean with welcomming staff. We arrived 2 hours before check in time and they gave us an available room. Staff were always so helpful. 5 minute walk to Disneyland with some amazing diners along the way.

“'Not to bad'”

This was my first time staying at this hotel have been to America in 2010 and that time stayed at Howard Johnson with my daughter and her fiance we live in Brisbane Australia,so traveled a long long way,at the time staying at Howard Johnson we thought that the fairfield inn looked a nice hotel so when l went with my father this October just gone 2011,we thought we would stay at Fairfield inn.It is a great position close to Disneyland so not very far for young families to walk to and from each day,and close to Mimi's cafe our favourite American restaurant,go there for every meal, even when staying in Los Angeles we travel to and from L.A. just to go there GREAT!Am planning to go back next August 2013 but have decided to stay at Howard Johnson next time l just thought that Fairfield inn was a bit to expensive and really no more any better than Howard Johnson. Both hotels are friendly and clean just finance wise would prefer Howard Johnson!!

Room Tip: Would be better of being Disneyland side we were on Freeway side, did not really notice much vehicle...
