My wife and I had wanted to stay at the Lodge for several years. The last time we had reservations there, so much snow fell nobody could get in or out. This time around, we had perfect timing. Skies were crystal clear, with 2-3 feet of snow to play in!
Tina and John made us feel welcome, and part of their 'family' and added so much to our stay, that to go without thanking them personally would be a mistake.
I am a self-professed gadget freak, and the thought of going without TV or a cellphone signal had me thinking twice about going. I must admit, however, that I was so tired at the end of a day of playing in the snow that I couldn't even stay up until 8 PM! We're planning another stay this summer so we can hike the area, which remains BEAUTIFUL!!
The fire came close to the area of the lodge, but when you step out your front door, all you can see are beautiful green pines!
I would say that the only thing I can't recommend is a short stay. There is probably something for everyone at Hannagan Meadow Lodge, but you won't know unless you go!
Don't forget to bring a camera.
