Having traveled the Southeast on business for many years, I have alot to compare this property to. I stay at this location 3 times a month and it is always my little oasis. It is handy to I-65, surrounded by resturants, grocery stores and shopping. The desk staff is awesome, anytime of the day and they are always quick to offer a helping hand. This is an older property that has had an EXTENSIVE renovation, new furniture and bedding in most of the rooms. Consistantly great breakfast. Excellent value for the money, dont think you are getting a resort , but you are also not getting some of the nightmares that are out there at this price range.

I have to come every week to stay overnight for school. I live 6 hours away and feel right at home when I am there. The staff if friendly and helpful and breakfast is nice. Rooms are always clean and cool when you go into them. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Athens.

We where going to New Orleans, and got in really late 2:00 am. We just needed a place to sleep for a few hours. The service we got was the BEST. Gloria was the best. She was very nice and upbeat. Got us a very nice room that was close, so we didn't have to walk to far. I told her she was great and upbeat for it being so late. So I made sure I got her name and I call Headquarters to make sure they know how good she was. In fact on the way back home we stopped a second time and the service was great again.

I visited the Days Inn in Athens, AL last month. The staff members went out of their way to help us make the stay comfortable and convenient. I was in town for exams and state tests...so it was a stressful time for me. Days Inn employees made the experience fun and relaxing. Our room was clean and comfortable. The families we met were great fun. The kids had a blast in the pool. I would recommend this hotel...it cannot be beat for the price.
