Stayed here for business while in D.C. for a few days. The room was clean, and the hotel facilities were nice. They had a small pool on the roof and a roof top bar. The hotel is close enough to everything, and the staff were very pleasant. Definetly recommend.

from check-in to check out the service was superior. including the hotel Restruant,the rooftop bar the door barman all we're warm and welcoming...Keyarna, Daysi, check in Jeanine, Louseny, Restruant , Eric ?( who started at 4:00 full arm tattoo with Koi on his right arm. ) Camille,
Cherise.... the attentive service of the entire staff of this hotel is nothing less than amazing.... we did feel welcomed and pampered.
The hotel needs a bit of tender love and care , it is looking a bit tired.
the room was smoke free....
the carpets were clean.
the beds were comfortable.

The Kimpton Hotel was the wedding home-base for our family, and we cannot say enough good things about the property and it's excellent staff. Everyone from Darryl and Daisey at the front desk, to Chris at the restaurant, and the hotel assistant general manager took great care of us and made sure that all our needs were met. We took advantage of the rooftop pool and enjoyed the great views. The lobby happy hour was a very pleasant treat, it gave an opportunity for everyone to catch up on the daily activities and make plans for the evening. Thank you Donovan House and Kimpton Hotels for another job well done.

This hotel is prematurely run-down. I arrived from a late flight at midnight and had get switched to four different rooms before finding one that didn't smell like cigarette smoke and/or have stains all over the carpet. The manager was extremely apologetic.
