I have stayed at the Latham twice in the past year. I have found the rooms to vary greatly and so have my colleagues Some are awkwardly configured with somewhat dated furniture, others are more standard in shape and size and don't look as shopworn. It never hurts to ask to be moved to another room - the staff seem pretty reasonable about such requests. However, I lucked out when last I stayed at the Latham in December. I arrived close to midnight and was given a duplex suite (with 2 bathrooms!), although I was paying for a standard room. Much appreciated! I would return on the off chance of such an upgrade again, also because of the Latham's central location in Georgetown and (always) comfortable beds,

Thank you for taking the time and sharing your stay with me. We have the luxury of offering many room types at the Latham. This gives our guests and friends the flexibility to choose a room type that fits their individual needs. Once you have decided on your favorite room type. Please make certain you share that information when making your reservation and we will do our best to meet that request. Also, checking with our guest service agent at check-in is another avenue in getting you in that “right” room.
Thank you again for your thoughts and I hope to see you again at the Latham.
