My husband and I travel often and are Marriott Platinum members, so I've seen more than a few hotels. I have to say, that while the hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms were comfortable and spotless clean, and the location is amazing... what makes this hotel above and beyond is the staff. I have paid 3 times what I paid to stay here over the weekend and have not received that level of service. From the valet, to the conceirge, to fabulous waiter and our amazing housekeeping... even the security guards make you feel like a treasured guest! I have a tendency to be high maintenance (my husband can attest to that!), but no question or request was ever treated with anything less than a willingness to please. The conceirge provided us with maps and things to do, and helped us pick out a fabulous place to eat that was off the beaten path. Our waiter was friendly and fun and made it a personal experience for us, which was a great feeling to come back to! The housekeeping staff is fantastic... the rooms were freshly stocked each night (no skimping on bathroom amentities), and had the tv turned to our virtual fireplace for when we entered the room at night (an unexpected calming treat!). I cannot speak highly enough for this hotel and absolutely cannot wait to return. What a bargain and what a great relaxing trip!

I took my 8 yr old son on a special trip to Washington DC. Location (me) and a pool (him) were critical to us. The Marriott Metro Center offers both. We arrived at the hotel well ahead of check-in. We were greeted warmly, allowed to check-in early and upgraded to the concierge floor - a big bonus and greatly appreciated. The room is spacious for city standards and was very clean. We were at the end of a hallway and it was extremely quiet. We also had a decent view - our room was located on the 14th floor.

The concierge floor offered us snacks, enough food to make a dinner (we were exhausted from our sight-seeing and the cold rain) and a great breakfast in the morning. I am a rewards member and we did stay here on points, but I had no expectation of an upgrade.

You just cannot beat this location. We were within a few blocks of the White House and the entrance to the Metro was on the corner, which was great for our first day as it rained and was very cold. Beds were comfortable, pool is heated and saline. HVAC worked really well. We felt comfortable and safe as a Mother/Son traveling together.

Would definitely stay here again for business or pleasure. A very positive experience.

I stayed here for a week, whilst on business in DC.
I found the staff helpful and overall the hotel was clean, with the Starbucks in the lobby being a bonus.

Room was a good size with a king size bed, sofa, desk and office style chair. No in-room safe, mini bar/fridge or robe, all of which I would expect for a chain hotel.

Good location, as right next to Metro Center meto stop, and easy walk to a number of attractions.

One especially good service was 2 computers and printers, located in the lobby for online flight check in and printing of boarding passes.

We stayed at this Marriott hotel during the Thanksgiving weekend. The staff is extremely professional and caring. Traveling with the family, they found the perfect room for us to accommodate everyone comfortably. Expect great additions which will your stay flawless: a Starbucks coffee outlet in the lobby, a well-equipped gym, well-maintained inside pool, complete breakfast buffet... and a great location to anything you'd want to see in the city or the convenient metro station Metro Center. Rooms were clean and spacious. We'll be back.
