After we checked in at the Embassy, we remembered that once years ago when the kids were young, they cried when we left the hotel because they wanted to live there they had enjoyed it so much. Although this time we did not use the pool, we once again enjoyed the Saturday night manager's reception (great place to meet up with friends before going to dinner) and Sunday brunch. This time we had a room with 2 Queen beds in the main bedroom, our guest said the sofa bed was comfortable. NO problems whatsoever with the room. Staff was really friendly and welcoming, when we arrived we were immediately directed to a parking spot on the street in front of the hotel which was free all weekend. Location is easy for Metro access and for walking to Dupont Circle and nearby restaurants. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel (Italian) which friends told me was quite good but we only used it for late night drinks since we were in a sushi mood.
