“A Good Place to Crash”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

This is not a top 10 DC hotel.. but what you get is a clean room, friendly front desk staff, and plenty of parking at a reasonable price... at least in the off season. The hotel is not in the greatest part of town and there is very little to offer within walking distance.. unless you are going to a Nationals' game. Take a cab.

Thank you for your comments. I am glad to hear that you were satisfied with your accommodations; I will like to add as it states on our website; we are situated at the crossroads of the Washington DC’s vibrant and re-emerging Southeast and Southwest districts, where restaurants and attractions are minutes away. Again we thank you for your comments and look forward to your return.

Thank you,
Management

“good deal”

If you want to visit the main atractions of DC but don't want to pay too much for a good hotel, this is a good option. It is cheaper than the others because of the location, but the hotel has a shuttle that goes to the National Mall in the morning and to the main night points in the evening. Also, even if you take a cab everyday to go wherever you want, it will still be cheaper!

“DAVE.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Three and friends and I stayed at the Capitol Skyline while attending an advocacy conference for blind persons. Dave, an employee of the hotel (I believe manager) was the most wonderful, welcoming person we could have asked for. He gave great recommendations as for restaurants and places to go during our stay, and was extremely helpful and accommodating. Dave was the best hotel employee I have ever encountered in my travels. Justin worked as well and was very kind. The hotel has fantastic employees and great customer service. The stay at the hotel was made all the better because of dave. Thank you Dave!

“Do not stay at this hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

This is the last time I will ever stay at this hotel (I'm in it at the moment). It's 1:30 AM and my sixth floor room is stuffy and hot. It's south facing and it was 67 degrees for a high today could have something to do with it. When I checked ni several hours ago (hot and stuffy) I turned on the AC to "high" and "cold." It's still hot and stuffy 3 hours later. I tried to open the window. It was welded shut. I called the front desk to ask if the AC was working. She said it's shut off for the winter. She said the mechanics could open the "welded shut" window but not until 7 AM. My agent booked this place at a $159/night rate. It's not worth $59/night. The restaurant is only open for breakfast even though their website says "breakfast lunch and dinner." The location is a desolate gloomy desert, McDonalds or 7-11 the nearest locations to get food for dinner. No minibar or little fridge. I switched over to my own WIFI since theirs is so slow. Do not stay here. Whoever owns this dump is should be embarrassed. Of course with all the money they are saving by reducing their services to the bare minimum, I'm sure they're sleeping nicely in a climate-controlled, air-conditioned place with great WIFI in a nice safe neighborhood.

Room Tip: Start by staying at another hotel

“Good stay in DC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

This hotel is very nice and a free shuttle service is provided during the Morning and the Evening which is very convenient because it is not in the center of Washington. The metro station (green line Navy Yard stop) is about 5-8 minutes walk. Breakfast buffet is quite good and sport center is modern. as usual gift shop is a bit more expensive but convenient. There is a Seven Eleven store and a Mcdonald really close from the hote.
