“Quiet Elegance”

I really enjoyed my recent stay at The Embassy Circle Guest House in DC. This inn is elegant, comfortable, spacious, friendly, and very clean. It is as advertised! My wife couldn’t make the trip so I was only able to stay one night. Owners Laura and Raymond and their staff are very friendly and engaging and made feel right at home. They were quick to facilitate introductions and conversations with other guests and to make recommendations for restaurants, museums. I believe they really care about their guests. I also want to mention that the inn is very quiet, my room was quite spacious and well appointed, and my bed was very comfortable – I was out like a light! Breakfast was delicious, the coffee was very good, and the conversation was lively. Although the house is large, I noticed and appreciated how very clean everything was. The DuPont Circle location was just right. The Embassy Circle Guest House was recently added to the Select Registry, which it definitely deserves. I will go back – and with my wife the next time.

“Excellent in every way”

We recently stayed at the Embassy Circle guest house in Washington DC and everything about the experience was outstanding. The house is gorgeous - the rooms are large and comfortable, the decor is tasteful and lovely. Laura and Raymond were the very best hosts, welcoming and ready with lots of suggestions on things to do, places to eat. Great breakfast. We have stayed in many bed and breakfast inns and this is one of the very best. Also there are so many things to do in Washington DC - the monuments, the museums (Newseum was new to us and outstanding), Georgetown, you could easily spend a great week there ... we wished we'd had longer than our three days. We are looking forward to going back.

“Great hosts, great house, great location.”

Raymond greets you at the door. Laura holds court in the sitting room, dispensing wine and advice on where to eat and what to see, making sure to introduce all the guests. The house has been masterfully restored by Raymond. The rooms are tastefully decorated with modern bathrooms.

Breakfasts are good - make that fantastic on weekends when Raymond is in the kitchen making his French toast stuffed with marscapone - and the coffee is great.

“The Best B&B in DC”

We have traveled extensively all over the world and few hotels can compete with the level of service and comfort offered at the Embassy Circle Guest House. The house is beautiful and every thoughtful detail has been attended to. The owners, Laura and Raymond Saba are present to ensure that every person is welcomed and all guests' needs are met. We have stayed there three times and look forward to our next visit. In short, we recommend it very highly.

“Great place to stay for TRB Annual Meeting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Every year I attend the annual meeting of the Transportation Research Board which is held at the nearby Hilton, Marriot and Shoreham hotels at the end of January. I have stayed at the Embassy Circle Guest House the past two years and have enjoyed my stay. The location is great, the place is immaculate and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive. I must admit it was a bit unexpected to be introduced to all of the other guests at breakfast the very first morning of my stay last year. But this year, being aware of the outgoing ways of the owners, Laura and Raymond, I was much more at ease and enjoyed the visit tremendously. Highly recommended. However, if you are not interested in talking to other guests and engaging in pleasant and stimulating conversation at breakfast, stay someplace else.
