“Great Stay. A+”

Sandy, is definitely the best inn keeper, my wife and I have ever had. Very accommodating, friendly, and more than willing to go above and beyond to making your stay memorable. I could tell she really valued our concerns and wanted us to feel completely comfortable in a genuine way. I can't say enough about the quality and care her and her staff put into making you feel at home. All the rooms are cozy and clean. Breakfast was great. As most everyone else is saying the only major downside is the ride into the city. We took to the bus to the subway everyday and it isn't particularly fun and can be a bit adventurous at certain times of the day, but all-in-all staying at in-town uptown made up for it in price and great quality. I think on average it took 20 mins to get to the National Mall. If you can avoid rush hour times, you won't really think much of it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

“We are sorry to delay this review”

Me and my boyfriend are travel lovers, but this was actually our first time ever staying at a B&B, and honestly we were pretty nervous about it at first. The reason why we picked a B&B was because we were traveling with my mom. If we stayed in a hotel, we were going to have to book two rooms which will double our entire trip cost, so for the first time ever, our B&B experience started with Intown Uptown Inn.
Firstly, the reservation over the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. On the day of our arrival, I also got a friendly phone call from one of their staffs and asked if our flight was good and what time they should be expecting us.
By the time we parked our car and walked into the house, we fell in LOVE immediately. Even it's been also three months since we stayed there, the picture is still so clear in my mind at this moment as I'm writing this late review. I was stunned by how elegant and vantage the living room was. We are crazy phone people and we spent at least two hours just to take pictures around the house. Each room has a unique style and if they are vacant, you may step in and satisfy your curiosity.
Emily and her husband were the staffs who lived in the basement of the house, and they were also the ones who took care of all the guests, including breakfast, giving directions, recommending restaurants, etc. They were super friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was amazing and you will get VERY GOOD breakfast there =)
If you were going to visit the museums, monuments and all the must-see stuff in D.C., it's a very convenient location since the "straight shot" bus-stop is right across from the house.
Lastly, the neighborhood was very quiet and you will get very decent sleep. For us the first timers of B&B, we finally understood the B&B concept of "a home away from home".

“Great b&b but a bit of a trek to DC's attractions”

We stayed here for 2 nights - our first visit to DC. We couldn't fault the b&b.

Beautiful house and great rooms. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The only downside is that you need to take a bus to and from town (45 mins) or a taxi (about 17 dollars). Note that the taxis charge USD 1,50 for each passenger and there were 4 of us travelling.

Overall we would recommend it but just be prepared for the journeys to and from town.

“Must Stay while in D.C.”

First timers to D.C. Decided to make the most of the vacation and selected to stay at a B&B instead of hotel. What a great choice. Read reviews on Trip Advisor and this place did not disappoint. The place is charming and the rooms have all the amenities along with nostalgic charm. Great location~bus stop is 100 yards away. Easy access to D.C. mall and all the places you want to visit while in town.
We stayed in the Room with a View. Lovely and large. Up three flights of stairs. With slanted ceiling (a converted attic afterall). Fun for us, but if you're over 6ft should probably select a different room. We peeked in several rooms and they are all very nice.
Innkeeper, Emily, was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great each morning. ~ Don't miss out on the Nutty Orange Coffee Cake.

Room Tip: If you are tall, don't pick Room with a View. The slanted ceiling of the converted attic would...
