If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I and a few others stayed at this establishment for a weekend. I clearly want to express my disappointment. The front desk, assistant manager, and other staff members including the general manager are racist and discriminate carefully. Before entering the room we were discriminated and treated with no respect. After having issues at the front desk we received a phone call from the front asking “we just saw a 2 people come in are they in your suite?” At that point I had enough and questioned the caller “are you making assumptions that they are with us? Why don’t you call every suite and ask the same question?” The assistant manager who called clearly said “I assume they are with you.” After a few minutes I discovered the individuals who had came in were in fact African American so she “assumed” they were with me. I must say I’m very disappointed in management. I called to speak to the general manager a few days later and only received a negative tone and the constant question “what are you trying to get out of this? I would assume the same thing if it was a group of people!”

In Washington DC for business and got a great deal at the Homewood Suites. It is in decent area and off the main road as you use a side road to access the hotel main entrance. It is a 10 minute walk from McPherson Sq metro center and lots of restaurants around its location. The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant inside, so consider that if crucial to your decision. They have free breakfast every morning and a light meal at night with beverages (alcholic included) on Mon-Thursday. Room (suite of 2 rooms) were clean and well maintained.

Our three night stay in December was our second visit to this hotel and, once again, we were very happy. Check in was fast and easy. The staff was so pleasant and accomodating. The location is a short walk to the Metro, an easy walk to the White House and around the corner from good restaurants. The breakfast is plentiful (and while it appears to be "average" on first glance, you can find blueberries, yogurt, granola, etc.) We love having a two room suite, a refrigerator and comfortable beds. It is quiet. This place feels like our "home" in D.C. We will return.

After so many positive reviews of this hotel there's not much left to say. With that said, here's my 2 cents worth. The Homewood Suites is very comfortable within walking distance to attractions and restaurants. There's a friendly, helpful front desk staff. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and is kept well stocked. If your stay is on a weekday the hotel offers a dinner buffet and complimentary wine and beer. Clean, comfortable rooms and very affordable rates for D.C. I'd stay here again in a minute.
