The Club Quarters is just a few steps from everything!!! We love walking when we visit new cities and this was just great!!! Only a few minutes to the White House and just a short walk to Washington Memorial and all the other monuments on the Mall. We loved it!!!! The rooms where small but very confortable and we had everything we needed!!!!

Stayed for a few nights in late November 2011 while traveling alone. I've stayed at several club quarters hotels and I would rank the service in this hotel as superior to the others (and I've always received really nice service). The front desk staff was generally more friendly and helpful than in the other hotels. I had some work materials shipped to the hotel and they immediately delivered the packages to my room. Very good about making suggestions, giving directions, advice on transportation, etc.

The blue line metro is literally right next to the hotel and the White House is about 3 blocks away. 4 or so blocks in the opposite direction is a decent shopping area and there are good restaurants all around.

The free wifi worked well, but my television was less than stellar. If it was an HDTV it's the worst HD I've ever seen. Lots of lines and weird static look to the picture, but the sound wasn't affected so it was tolerable.

My room was large enough for what I needed it for, there were plenty of power outlets and I had a microwave and mini fridge. Free bottled water was just down the hall.

Overall, a great stay!

I stayed at Club Quarters for 3 nights in July 2011. The location was great - close to major subway, tourist sites, shops and restaurants. Rooms were pleasant but a little smaller ( vs the Club Quarter in Boston). It is clean and comfortable but building was very close to the next office building so there is a lack of privacy (unless you draw up the curtains). I like the fact that there is a water dispenser for guests to help themselves with water but there is no fridge in the room and the access to the ice dispenser is pretty inconvenient (at the basement, near the gym and served by only 1 lift). There was free flow of coffee & tea at certain hours. Service was good.

I stayed for a few nights in early December 2011. Overall very pleased with my stay. A lot of reviews claim the rooms are too small. I had the 'Standard Room' and found it a very decent size. I was traveling by myself. Very friendly staff. And it's all about Location Location Location. 2 metro stations right nearby. Excellent choice of restaurants nearby including some nice vegan restaurants. (Try Maoz Vegetatian) it was awesome.

Pros: very secure (I locked myself out within the first hour and had to goto the desk to tell them. They checked my id which I thought was excellent on their part so that they just wouldn't let anyone in)

Sub-standard tv. It claims to be hd, but it looks standard to me, kinda small too.

Very noisy past 6am. Don't plan on sleeping in due to lots of traffic noise, as well as hotel noise.

Cafe Solei does not deliver just drinks to your room as the in room menu claims that it does, you have to order food too.

Movies are overpriced.

So overall, I would certainly recommend this hotel. Especially of its just for one or two travelers. I ride the metro so many times and it's very nice to have close access to the whole city via the metro. Did not eat at the Cafe so I can't rate their food. If I travel to dc again, this will be the first hotel I check out again.
