I booked this hotel for business, as I had to work in Suitland on the green line metro. The Mt. Vernon square metro is only a 5 minute walk from this hotel. Overall I was very pleased with the hotel however, the location leaves a bit to be desired. At present, there is a large construction project directly in front of the hotel and there is a condemned building next door. The area is up and coming, it is just not there yet. I must also add that the area around the Mt. Vernon square metro did not seem completely safe. People were always people hanging around the escalator exit, shouting, cursing, etc. And I got the same feeling in the ChinaTown area. If you want to be close to the Greenlin metro, I don't know that there is much of an alternative. Anyway, the room was very large and clean, with a full kitchen and den area, and a separate bedroom, it felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. The marble floors were cold, requiring socks/slippers at all times, and the shower floor was an eye opening experience every morning. The marble floor also means that sound travels easily from room to room, especially when chairs are being moved around on the floor. The staff at the hotel was always friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay here again, despite the cons.
