“Good Hotel. Good service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I stayed at this Doubletree in November 2011 while attending a convention in DC. The hotel rooms were nice and well appointed. The bathrooms were mostly operational with a few older fixtures. Breakfast service was average. The level of service from the personnel at the front desk varied from excellent to poor depending on the individual. Location is excellent. The workout facilities were small but useful as no one ever used them during my stay. I would stay there again if I rates were lower than elsewhere in the metro DC area.

“perfectly fine.”

Did not have any problems at this hotel, but the bathroom is tiny and the room is a little small-ish and bland. Excellent location (although there really isn't an easy Metro station near it -- you'll walk quite a few blocks to a station, but it is still doable), great restaurants all around, and DC is at your doorstep. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby felt cramped but not a problem. Overall, you should feel satisfied with a stay at this Doubletree.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room away from the main street. it can be noisy in the morning and the windows do no...

“Disappointed”

This hotel was disapponting. The location is OK - close to Dupont Cirle as well as a Whole Foods and also a reasonable walk to the White House then to the National Mall. Check-in was not up to par - we arrived at 4 and had to wait half an hour for our room. The front desk person was not particularly helpful - we were told to sit and wait but he never cam to get us - I had to check back 4 times before we got our room. ( I am a Hilton Honors Diamond Level). We were not offered the signature Doubletree cookie (not that we needed it but it was symptomatic of an attitude).
The night sleep was interrupted many times by noisy guests in the hallway and slamming doors (way past 2 am) and banging walls. We will not stay in this Doubletree property again.

“Nice Stay Great Location”

Okay, my bathroom was little tight #206. Got the bad news out of the way. If you are going to DC to hang out in a hotel bathroom this probably is not the place for you and you may have other issues to deal with. Bathroom was well appointed with granite, citron soaps, curved shower rod and great water pressure for the speakman showerhead. Room was very clean and in great shape. Large LCD Flat screen, nice desk area, in room coffee, room safe, large closet, extra lounge chair with ottoman. The stafff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Just a few blocks from DuPont Circle where there are a variety of shops and restaurants. Very safe neighborhood. Nice walk to the Whitehouse and then on to the Mall area where many of the monuments and war memorials are located. I had one minor issue with my room and it was fixed in a flash (iron). I would not hesitate to stay here again. (nice warm cookie at check-in). Safe travels!

Room Tip: Take a room on the first or second floor over looking the park out front and you will get free inter...

“Doubletree Experience!”

First of all I need to start by saying that these are the best cookies. When I arrived, the staff was very helpful and welcoming. They gave me a cookie right away and the check-in was flawless and very quick. The room was very clean, the only thing is that the bathrooms are not very spacious, but this was no problem to me. The location is very central and the restaurants at the hotel are also very good. The continental breakfast downstairs had a lot of different options and the quality was excellent. The only thing that I did not enjoy was that one night we could hear someone snoring next door. On the other hand, the Metro station is only a few blocks away and the experience was overall very good. The stay was wonderful, I would not hesitate to go back!
