We had the pleasure of staying at Le Bons Bay Backpackers as we traveled through the South Island. We stumbled upon it by mistake and loved it so much that we spent 28 days! We traveled for another month and then returned for another 3 weeks!!! Garry & Heidi are the ultimate hosts - from the boat rides, collecting paua shells and Garry's perfectly wonderful fish dinners! Le Bons Bay is one of those amazing places where the mountains meet the ocean - and Le Bons Bay Backpackers is a little piece of paradise nestled into the whole picture. We loved the neighbors and the picturesque landscape is beyond words. I can't imagine a trip to New Zealand being complete without a stop at Le Bons Bay Backpackers! Thanks to the Brittendens for memories to last a life-time and a never-ending friendship. We can't wait to see the kids!!!
