We were looking forward to a nice weekend alone and choose "The Spa Hotel" in Arvika. It is soooo not good! The bathroom was old and the shower fell down as I touched it and nobody could repair it, water all over the floor etc. etc. We didn´t find the staff very friendly either and that was a bit disappointing as swedes are known to be very friendly. The fruit we became upon arrival and had eaten from still stood in the room when we left. Not a very clean room either.
The television is too far away from the bed so you have to have great eyes to look at it from the bed.
All in all a very disappointing exprience.

This is a nice, cosy Swedish hotel. Great breakfasts, reasonably good sized rooms. But beware of the opening hours of the spa - the hotel advertises itself as a "hotel and spa", but the spa is actually CLOSED from 21.00 on Satuday until 15.00 on Mondays!

The hotel looks a little run down from the outside but it is in the process of being referbished. The roomsa re small but clean and tidy. It is probably the best hotel in the town and is busy for lunch and dinner.
The food is good considering the quality of other restaurants in the area. I would not eat anywhere else in Arvika except here.
Overal a good hotel with good food.
