“A wonderful place to stay”

We stayed a vilacampini for a week and that wasn't long enough!
It's a fabulous chic guest house with a warm and welcoming heart.
Sophia and Margarita supported by a small crack team have this place run to a tee.
Every detail is thought about and considered. They have an excellent restaurant list and suggestions of where to spend time in theclocal are.
The rooms are gorgeous and spotless.
The pool area is beautiful.
The surrounding area is beautiful rustic countryside.
I would recommend this place to families, couples and groups of friends.
A really lovely place to just hang out and chill. Or a brilliant base for exploring.
I travelled with my eight year old daughter and it was perfect.

“The best”

We really wanted to keep this a secret – a top secret! It is amazingly fabulous, the most gorgeous breakfasts and the staff were probably the friendliest we have found. We had an older (84 yrs) relative with us and they were so kind, so thoughtful – what a wonderful place – just a shame they don’t do dinner and then you would never have to leave!

“Idyllic for couples, less perfect for families”

The villa is stunning, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. It feels like a family villa and the lounge area and pool are great places to relax in. The staff are very helpful and knowledgable about the local area. We were there with a small child and she really enjoyed the grounds, and we felt completely relaxed letting her run around in the gardens. The breakfast was outstanding, plentiful and with a fantastic array of foods to choose from. Luz de Tavira is a lovely sleepy town near to amazing beaches which are excellent for families.

I think it's relevant for people travelling with small children to know the following:
1) there are no bath, only showers.
2) no kitchen on site so you can't have dinner on site except for some quiche/salad
3) It is expensive and they also charge for baby cots at 15Euro per night which is rather
steep considering the price of the hotel itself- (they very kindly did not charge us for this in the end).
4) they have a very narrow period of breakfast from 9-10.30 which is quite late if your baby wakes early. There is no fridge for guests to use so we had to keep her milk overnight in an ice bucket. However, we'd have liked to have some yoghurts/snacks for her accessible during the day as well.

Room Tip: The ground floor rooms are best for families as they have their own terraces.

“Personalised luxury in a beautiful rural guesthouse”

I can't recommend Vilacampina highly enough. If you are thinking of staying there - DO! Staff cannot do enough to perfect your visit to the eastern Algarve, the house is beautiful (we especially enjoyed the pool), and the area is full of picturesque beaches and unspoilt by tourist overdevelopment. My only concern is how quickly I can get back!

“Stunning property, fantastic service, amazing food!”

I cannot fault Vilacampina. The friendly owner Sophia and staff especially Margarita, go out of their way to help you have a most wonderfully relaxing holiday. They are extremely informative and make sure you know the best places to eat, beaches to visit etc.
The whole place is immaculate and cleanliness is spot on. The most amazing part of our stay was the breakfast. We dined like Kings and were treated to an array of homemade cakes every morning. I am missing the Portuguese custards tarts.
