“A very fine stay”

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful place. The location is central and yet up the hill away from the noise with a quiet park across the street. The narrow cobbled streets leading to the hotel add to the charm as you explore the town. The room was very quiet, comfortable and modern in all respects. The breakfasts were delicious and comprehensive is what they provided. The central cloister courtyard
and several elegant old staircases remind you that this was once a former convent. The pool area was a great delight after a days activities. The staff and service was excellent. The complimentary gated car park helped. There are several sights near the hotel which are also convenient to visit such as the castle ruins, the tower with the camera obscura and several historic churches.
The full name of this is Pousada da Convento Da Graca, Tavira.

“Well located”

A four day stay in January. Warm welcome from reception and other staff friendly. Historic building, full of character, but modern and comfortable rooms, though we were disturbed by noise from a next door room after midnight. The hotel is well located close to the centre of Tavira and a short stroll to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent but the one restaurant meal we had as an anniversary treat was disappointing considering the price. Recommend as a great place to stay for B&B - just eat out in the evening.

“Perfect Pousada”

Read the reviews on Trip Advisor felt confident that this pousada was was going to be very nice and we weren't disappointed. The receptionist gave us a genuine warm welcome and told us not to worry about the car, he would park it for us once he'd shown us to our room. I knew just walking through the building it would be something special and I was right. A good size with everything we would need for the five days and a big bathroom along with a nice private balcony. Someone had mentioned the breakfast and it was a civilized affair, served up to 11.00 am buffet style. Although the hotel was quiet it had a good atmosphere and every member of staff we came across had a big smile and wanted to help in any way they could. Ideally located in the centre of town a short walk from restaurants and bars. The only negative comment I have is the internet access, the staff are clearly embarrassed when they have to tell you of the silly charges but delight in letting you know the internet is free in the town centre, only 3 or 4 minutes walk away. Senior management really needs to address this and very quickly. All in all a great pousada, good location and excellent staff, sorry about the internet.

“Really Lovely Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We stayed here for a week in October, its really lovely, quiet but very close to town and all the restaurants. We had a standard room but it was still very large. Its a lovely old building but feels modern inside. Breakfast was excellent and ran until 11am which is so rare these days! Even when we arrived late on they refilled anything we asked for and there was a huge selection. Plenty of loungers by the pool and helpful staff - we got a great deal & hopefully we will be able to go back!

Room Tip: Corner rooms are bigger - we asked to upgrade to a suite but they were full so they gave us a corner...

“lovely hotel in a charming town”

we found this to be a delightful hotel with real character. All of the staff were very professional, friendly and very helpful. I would certainly stay here again if in this region, and look forward to seeing some other hotels in the Pousada group. Tavira has a lot to recommend it (clean, pretty, nice bars and restaurants) but I think 3 or 4 days here is probably enough
