Gorgeous weather (even in september), amazing hotel with extremely clean apartment sized rooms, overlooking the ria formosa natural park. The staff and all in hotel services were spot on! From our balcony we could see the coastline and part of the park which was crammed with wild flamingo's! Only a short walk into the village centre which has a few small quiet restaurants and bars. The beaches were almost deserted with the whitest sands and bluest sea, an amazing holiday which only cost approx £650 for 2, I would go back tomorrow!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel and we thought it was fantastic! After having read some terrible reviews on here we were very aprehensive and at one point considered switching our hotel before we had even left the UK! However I am very glad we stuck with our first choice,we had no problems on arrival or departure and the rooms were very spacious and had everything we needed for our self catering stay included, also if you are staying self catering there is a great little supermarket about a 5/10 minute walk from the hotel that sells lots of lovely protuguese food. The pool at this hotel is massive and great for kids... as we were travelling without children we decided to venture out of the hotel to the beach, the beach in Cabanas is fantastic! very very clean and quiet compared to the other beaches we visited with lovely clear waters and a free private boat to and the town provided by the hotel. If you cannot find the hotel boat then there is another one at the end of the promenade that only costs 1.50 euro for the day. The spa facilities at the hotel are great if you fancy a bit of luxury at the end of a busy day relaxing by the pool or on the beach, the rooftop jacuzi is a particularly romantic place to watch the sunset. As for the restraunt at the hotel, I would not overly recommend this, the staff are quite rude and seemed to stare at me and my partner to the point where we felt uncomforable and left, also the food was over priced and no where near the same quality as the food in some of the traditional places in Cabanas town. In a nut shell, If you like quiet places with a relaxing atmosphere and great weather and not much else then Cabanas Park is the place for you! We will definatley be returning for some much needed relaxation next year!

Loved the resort. It's well staffed with basic but fully adequate amenities. Probably too quiet for younger travelers, but was a great place to retreat for a few days. It is literally at the end of the road, so be prepared to be somewhat removed from most outside amenities. But the hotel had everything we needed and the town of Cabanos is only a 15 minute walk away. The hotel restaurant food was fine. The pool was great. The beach was fantastic. I would definitely go again and thought it was good value for the money. It's not a 5 star resort, but then you aren't paying for 5 stars either.

If you walk into the town of Cabanos, find the 'Little Orange' restaurant for a great meal of fish and chips.

So be told, IT IS A QUIET RESORT, and if that is what you are looking for great. If not, then don't go.

The hotel is situated about 1/2 a mile from the main seafront street and is therefore a 15 minute walk through a mainly residential / apartment block area. Some building is still going on adjacent but we never hear anything.

I would say it's a good 3 star resort but compared with other apart-hotels we've used, it's much better.

Apartments are fairly large, good balconies (like everywhere it depends where your situated) some with pool views and others look out onto the nature reserve. There are good unobstructed views from most apartments.
A basic kitchenette with fridge, two ring hob, micro-grill and sink provides some flexibility.

The hotel does advertise a gym, but if you're a serious workout person you will be disappointed as some of the equipment could do with updating or replacement, still usable though. The jacussi and steam room are a good bonus at the end of the day, however I bet they get busy at peak times (but couldn't honestly comment there).

I would recommend this for mature couples (over 40s) or those wanting to "chill-out" away from the rat race.There's a good pool that would entertain the kids but honestly it's not a young family resort, although they do advertise "animation programs".

The restaurant has always given us a good meal at a fair price, but as with all hotels there is a premium over the local eateries which also offer good food mostly.
