This is not by any means a bad hotel, if you get it for a good price. We were delighted with the special handicapped room which was very spacious and had a fantastic bathroom with large shower and high toilet. This made my mother's life a lot easier! The room itself, the whole decor was a little bit outdated, but it was clean and very practical. Never had a hotel room with more cabinet space, and a fridge too. Beds were fairly narrow, and quite firm, but we were too tired to notice much anyway...
The whole hotel is clean and well maintained, with a lovely garden and a pool outside, but it feels like a timewarp to 1983 sometimes...Which in a way, was charming and cozy.
Staff downstairs were excellent, breakfast was decent.
The only real problem was with the restaurant the day we arrived. It turns out the restaurant is geared towards the groups that come there by the coach full; there is a single set menu available, and nothing else. And we would have been dining there as the only people not part of a group. This did not appeal to us, and we went elsewhere. I'm not sure if this is always the case however.
