Stopped there for two nights it is very cheap, very clean, great staff, no problems with the wifi strong signal all the time was close to reception, room was large and met all our needs with shower and toilet , the breakfast was like most continental breakfast as much coffee tea toast and juice as you want the rest is prepared for you what we like about it most was the Great views from the windows
The only negative was the stairs but all the above made us forget all 98 steps i will be using this hotel again

£17 for a twin room with breakfast(freshly cooked omlette with cheese,meat,tomatos &toast), friendly staff,excellent location,free wifi which we had no problems with. spotlessly clean. supermarkets & restauraunts on the street. the tram into town went past the front door with a stop just across the street. the only downside was the 98 steps to the 5th floor.

The B&B is excellent for the price, we liked the location and very friendly and helpful staff. Our 4-bed room was good size, TV with a lot of channels (mainly in Latvian and Russian, but also few English-speaking), very clean bathroom/shower. Fifth floor was not a problem at all. Supermarket (Rimi) across the street, lots of restaurants/cafes on the street (check out Lido Dzirnavas - cheap and good, Dzirnavu iela 74), 10-15 minute walk to the old town and railway station. Kitchen and fridge available, basic breakfast included in the price.

And now the minuses. First of all we didn't liked creaky wooden beds, may be an issue for susceptible sleepers. Also low heating (but not freezing) in October and low shower pressure, wall-to-wall carpet.

On overall I can only recommend this place, because the price is great.

Stayed with my family in the KB B&B during the end of July. Our stay in the hotel was good with the exception of taxi service orderd by the reception. On arrival, we ordered air port collection for 12 LVL and that worked fine. However during our stay we ordered taxi through the reception twice and recieved the same driver. Nothing wrong with that but his meeter was running a bit to fast in our taste, about 50-70% more expensive than other taxis. A trip to the Lido restaurant was 15 LVL with the KB driver and only 7 on the return with the red cabs (8001313). On the way back home I ordered a taxi to the airport but did not recieve the 12 LVL price for some reson and once again the expensive KB driver was waiting for us. This time the price to the airport was 20 LVL instead of the the hotel transfer price of 12 LVL. In all, the hotel experience was good but dont order taxi through the reception.
