We struggled to find the place - we knew it was next to Lido restaurant but our mistake was getting off the tram a couple of stops early, close to the BIG Lido restaurant. After finding it, it was a great place for our city break base.
Rooms fairly spartan, comfy beds, great modern bathrooms. Clean and modern building.
Breakfast a basic continental, served in nice old vaulted cellar room. Each guest served a small plate of sausage & salad, then help yourself to bread to make toast, cheese and meats for sandwiches. The chef has a bit of a cucumber obsession, even by Eastern European standards!
Spa suite was good but odd - nice sauna, the small circular pool was fitted with an adjustable jet so you could swim (endless) lengths, but you needed to prebook your time slot with hotel reception the day before.
Next door is the bowling alley owned by the same company - which was fine for a couple of drinks at the end of the evening when we didn't want too much of a trek home (or to risk missing the last tram). A lot cheaper drinking here than in the city centre and had friendly staff confused to find non-locals in there!
We'd also recommend the Lido restaurant chain, one of which is nearby this hotel although the one we ate in is the Lido Entertainment Centre super-duper one. So good we went back twice. Try the 1 Lat champagne.
Toss was great for the price, a 15min ride on the tram into the city centre.
