This is a nice hotel with comfortable rooms and the most kind reception staff you could ever wish for. We stayed for two nights in the end of october. We had a non-smoking room with balcony. The bed was a twin bed but they kindly put one large extra mattress to cover the whole bed and like that making it a double bed as wished for. So nice :)
I felt a bit cold in the room at first but after meantioned it to the reception, we got an extra heater to keep us warm during sligtly cold weather, and it did.
Location is great, just a 10-15 minutes walk to the old town of Riga. Breakfast was good and I do not agree with some reviews that said that there is not enough choice of food. There is.

Extra appreciation for the FREE early check-in and late check-out we got. Unbelievable nice!

Hotel is realy great - comfortable rooms, great staff, good location.
Reception staff (males) :) was great and helpfull - they show us good bars, sighteeing tour.
I couldnt found any ashtray outside, sorry, I asked in a reception, but they didnt know anything.
One big minus - breakfast. Acctualy they were very poor.
Im not eating a lot in my breakfast time, but i didnt have a chance to choose what to eat :)
But still, everything was great.

Monika Centrum Hotels is very good hotel. Location, staff, breakfast very good. Nice room with all the facilities needed. Definitely also visit family restaurant Alibi. The best grilled dishes in Old Riga.

We were lucky enough to stay at this hotel for 4 nights in December. We were able to check in early which we were really appreciative of due to our early flight, reception service was excellent and we were allocated a great room with a balcony. Breakfast each morning was excellent, good quality and choice in pleasant surroundings. The hotel itself was in a good location, coffee shops, supermarket and other amenities nearby and a short stroll to the Centre. We found the location ideal and did not use any public or private transport throughout our 5 day stay [with the exception of the airport transfer]. We paid a very decent price for this hotel at it exceeded our expectations - would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
