I chose Old City Boutique hotel without knowing it. Picked it through the internet. I was surprised to find it so nice, pleasant, fells good, relaxing. I would for sure come again! Also recommend to visit family restaurant Alibi which is located near the hotel. Delicious grill in Latvian traditional style. Lovely place.

Excellent Hotel. This was our 6th visit to Riga (second to see in the new year) and we had always stayed at Hotel Riga. But this year we decided to try somewhere different. We had originally booked at a different hotel, but after a mix up with a double booking upon arrival we were booked into this Boutique hotel as an alternative, and what a pleasant surprise it was.
This is not some large grand hotel, but a very bright and modern smaller hotel with a beautiful atmosphere. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Rooms comfortable, excellent value for the price.
The hotel is situated in an excellent location in the Old Town, only a short walk away from all main attractions.
If this is the type of mid range hotel you are looking for, you shouldn't have any problems here. (Obviously I can speak on every room :-)).

Stayed here twice, beginning and end of trip through the Baltics. Spend two nights in a new room and 2 in an older one. The latter one was ok, but nothing special. The new room was great though, with nice modern touches but also with the original old wall on one side of the room which was great! Breakfast and service is good as well and there is a computer for guest use in the lounge. Very central location. Had a great time!

My friend and I stayed at this wonderful little hotel for a long Christmas weekend (3 nights 24-27 December) and starting from the booking process communication with Old City boutique hotel was pure pleasure. Reservations were made through hotel's website and I got the confirmation right away. They also sent me a scan of original signed reservation for my visa. When we arrived at 10 in the morning, our room was ready and we checked in right away. All our wishes were fulfilled-we got a twin room in the "old" part of the building on the 2nd floor. The room was small but cozy, the facilities new and clean. We were happy to have an iron and ironing board in the room,but disappointed about the absence of a safe. Provided Rigas windy and rainy weather having tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been nice to be able to warm-up after a walk. The hotel doesn't provide those though, as well as free drinking water,which is a good trait of most hotels of this level.
Special thanks to the hotel staff. Everyone: starting with doorman, administrator, maids etc.were so nice and helpful,they really made us feel like very special guests! We were sorry to leave the hotel,but would definitely love to come back and would recommend it to anyone: romantic couples, families, singles.
You will love the design and atmosphere, the staff will do their best for you to feel at home, the location is just fantastic-walking distance from all major attractions,shops and restaurants/bars.
I'm already jealous of you if you're only about to experience their great service))
