Standard of hotel is ok, but not better. Location is great. Immediate access to everything in the old town. Breakfast is not worth anything. Staff is very helpful.
Neighboring clubs; "P*ssy" and "Le p*ta madre" ows much of the disappointment to this hotel. In the weekends they have very loud parties until 7 in the morning. Asked for a room not facing street, but all are apparently singles - bad choice.

This hotel has all you need for a business stay, probably nice for leisure also, but i only have used singel room. The location is perfect, center of old Riga. Short way to shopping, bus station, train station.
I have bin more than 10 times at this hotel last years.
Internet is good, cost 5$ for 24 h. Difficult to send email if you dont use a webmail client. (seems like lattelecom dont provide a SMTP server). In lounge they provide a internet connected PC.

Top notch service at all levels - very personable staff willing to go out of their way to make my stay special and make me feel safe and 'at home'. Even providing vases for flowers given to me by welcoming friends and family! Very centralized location in old town- and one of the few hotels with its own secure parking area. Handy if staying longer and renting a car- also much cheaper option than leaving in public car park. Definitely plan on staying at Radi and Draugi again next time I am in Latvia!

Pretty fair value for 3 star hotel. Staff is nice, rooms are clean, free coffee, tea and water in the room. Shower and toilet are new and clean. Good inexpensive restaurant on the first floor is very convenient when you don't want to go out under the frequent Baltic rain.
BUT!!!
It is impossible to sleep after midnight. There are few night clubs/bars on the same street and at night their customers just go berserk under your windows. Surprising part: Latvian police does absolutely nothing about that.

One of the best places I stayed on a tour of six central/eastern European cities. No more than 10 minutes' walk from the station and in the heart of the Old Town; yet on a quiet street. I thought the room on the top floor would be great for views, instead of which it had a velux window and a staircase from the floor below, but let's not quibble - it was a great place to stay. Staff were positively friendly and helpful; breakfast a little institutional and a long walk from accommodation but quite ok. Riga is definitely worth a visit and Radi un Draugi a great place to find a bed for the night.
