“Good location, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

A nice hotel in the Riga Old Town. Very clean, very nice service. Interesting architecture, old house, but renovated not long time ago.
Best things: good location, good food, free wifi. Lot on bars and shops around. Very nice staff.
Smoking room inside the hotel.
Worst things: the walls between rooms are very thin and if your neighbour is noisy, you hear everything. In the street side it was also lot of noise in the evening time, when people come from bars and restaurants. The rooms in the backyard side were more quiet.
It was also cold in the some rooms and very hot in some others.

Room Tip: Rooms on backyard side are more quiet

“Great atmospheric old hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I stayed here a few years ago and chose it again for a weekend trip to Riga. It's an old hotel and as such is a bit of a maze and the rooms are all different sizes and shapes. That gives it character and neither last time nor this time have I been disappointed. The staff are extremely helpful and it has all the facilities you could need (safe, luggage store, free wifi that was fast and reliable, very well-stocked minibar, complimentary tea/coffee/bottled water for first night...).

Despite the fact that it's an old building (and my window didn't have the tightest seal - still, the heating was fine and the street noise isn't disturbing despite being right in Old Town), it's well-kept; for example I could see my bathroom had been recently refurbished, including with one of those luxurious giant shower heads :D The location is fantastic for everything, too, right in Old Town and only a few minutes walk to bus and tram stops and walkable to the central station...

No complaints, and I'll continue staying here when I go to Riga.

Thank you Radi & Draugi for great weekend. Your staff is so nice and helpful. The rooms are very clean and beautiful. I warmly recommend this hotel for everybody who likes beautiful atmosphere and perfect rest. Also I wish to recommend family restaurant Alibi where I tasted most delicious grilled dishes in Latvian traditional style.

“Loti Labi!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

I traveled to Latvia with a big group of 20 or so people, all of whom speak Latvian. We traveled all around Latvia and started and ended our trip in Riga, staying at Radi un Draugi. The people working at the hotel were very kind and polite. I stayed in a "double room". It was very nice and clean. I would leave the window open during the day, and then leave it open just a little bit at night so that the street noise won't bother me. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The breakfast room was a little crowded with all 20 of us in it, but usually I think it would be fine. I would definitely come back!

“Perfect place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2011

I have stayed that Radi several times with family and will definitely stay there again next time in Riga. With or witout family. The rooms are more than enough to host a family and the prices are affordable. Staff is giving a good service level and nice attention to the whole family. The hotel is well situated in the old town with immediate access to the tourist areas.
The hotel consists of two houses, one charming old building and once concrete creation from the sixties or so. I have only had rooms in the old part, and always had clean and nice rooms.

Room Tip: Rooms in the old building are spacy and clean.
