After spending 2 months at the Maritim Park Hotel,we can truly recommend it to whoever wishes to stay in Riga and feel at home.Service,cleanliness and hospitality are simply excellent.

We chose a superior room as we read about the spectacular view over the park and city, and we were not disappointed! Being it our first visit to Riga, we thought it would be a nice way to savour the city's atmosphere, and choosing this hotel certainly contributed to a positive experience. It may not be located directly in the city centre, yet the 10 minutes it takes by public transport are hardly an inconvenience. On the other hand it can be seen as an advantage, especially on weekends, as it seems to get quite noisy in the old town. Me and my wife are happy to recommend both the hotel and Riga, a destination that exceeded our expectations!

At first wanted to book Radisson Blu Daugava what is in the same neighbourhood but local friend of mine suggested Maritime (1 star less but renovated later) and I was totally satisfied. For 45EUR I got twin room what was small/big enough for short stay.

Location - it's almost straight across the river from old town. There is tram stop just outside the hotel and taxis were always available. Even so I walked to and back from old town what was appr 15-20min walk.
Room - it was small but ok for me - 2 beds, closet and TV. Bathroom was clean, had a shower.
Facilities - user parking what was free of charge. Also notices that there was a massage and some more services but I didn't use them.
Breakfast/food - breakfast was very ok. Ordinary scrambled eggs, bacon and so on but I liked different kind of fish. As it was sunny morning I had my breakfast outside the restaurant sitting on terrace.
Also prices in bar were reasonable (2,5LVL for beer)

All in all - for such a price I'd definitely stay there another time. Litlle walk to old town is not a problem at all.

We have stayed at the Maritim Park Hotel in Riga for 3 nights May 4th to May 7th! It was such a positive experience. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful as well as efficient. From the
E-mail communications which were always answered promptly up to the day we checked out.
We went to Riga for a figure skating competition and there were other sport teams staying at the hotel as well. The service was always excellent even with the high volume of hotel guests. Breakfast was very good and we never waited in line for food. The rooms are so spacious and clean. The location of the hotel is great close enough to town but still nica and quiet. Lovely green park across the hotel good for running or walking and there were so many taxis waiting, we never once had to call for a taxi. The reception staff was so friendly and we received our wake-up calls promptly in the mornings. We would recommend thus hotel to anyone who want to visit Riga. It is excellent value for money and excellent service.
