We stayed on Christmas Eve and were put in a business room. Even so it was pretty small and a fairly basic bathroom.
However the restaurant and bar are great and the breakfast is excellent.
Overall very good value.
(And of course the Espa attached is superb).

We got a room at the 19th floor, opened the door and it looked fantastic. Modern interior, BIG BED with numerous pillows, straight ironed sheets and soft blankets. A bed worthy a princess or prince. A big television screen strategically placed, room service and a menu with various options. Great view of Old Town Riga and kind service for real (no acting). However, the temperature of the room or the condition of something (such as the air or the humid) made the two nights very uncomfortable... actually we both got trouble falling a sleep, it was two nights with bad sleep, even missed the very lower class hotel we had the nights before. However, the rooms were great for watching television and ordering room service. Anyway, we didn't go to Riga to sleep, so I would actually recommend another hotel or another room or floor if you do fancy a good night sleep in Riga. Would be cheaper too....

This is a reasonably modern hotel in a great location (5 minutes walk to department stores in one direction, 10 minutes to the old town in another). The breakfast selection was the best we experienced on our 35 day holiday across 14 different hotels (eggs to order, fresh fruit, range of breads etc). The Skybar is definitely worth a visit and has a great ambience & is very convenient to wander back to your room at the end of the night.

The only negative really was that the room was quite small and the bathroom very tiny. This would have been ok if there were only 2 people in the room, but as we were triple sharing, an uncomfortable roll out bed was squeezed into the room leaving very little room for luggage. This was one of the smallest rooms we encountered on our holiday.

It was really important for us to stay in the room on the high floor with a bath and I specially phoned to the hotel in advance and ask about it. But we were accommodated to the room with a shower on the 3 floor. And when I asked the receptionist about it he was not friendly and told us that it is impossible to change our room. No apologizes. When I asked about Guest Relation Manager he pretended that doesn't understand what I mean. Very bad!!!
I was really dreamed about hot bath after cold weather and nice view from our window. I sure that it was easy to assign me required room, I called 3 days before.
