I stayed in this hotel during my business trip. The room wasn't big, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable. The Internet was free, but you have to get the code from the reception. The breakfast is included, the food is very good. The staff is great, very kind and friendly. The location is also OK, close to the city centre, 15-20 minute walk from the beach. The street outside the hotel was a bit noisy, so I didn't open the windows, but otherwise everything was perfect.

Hotel located about 20 minutes walk from the beach, or 10 minutes from the city centre.
You can have a very good and comfortable sleep there if you take a standard room facing the back.

MINUSES:
Some rooms are facing the very noisy street.
Slow wifi, cuts out a lot.
Wifi costs money for economy rooms. 7 EUR for 24 hours.
No aircon (needed for parts of the summer and rooms facing street)
Most rooms seemed to be smoking.
Silly basket for minibar and water bottles taking up most of the desk. Very overpriced.
Some ugly scratches on the walls in my room.

The room was fairly large, but it was facing the main road and the heavy traffic includes trams. The windows are sound-proofed which helps. There is a large car park at the back.
I saw in one of the other reviews (German) that WLAN is free. The room had a cable connection and WLAN but they wanted one Euro an hour to use either.
When we got there they gave us vouchers for a free introductionary drink (?) at two places at/around the premesis. Several of us took advantage of this offer.

No complaints at all about the breakfast, an excellent range of choices. No idea about the restaurant, we went into town.

The city centre is 5-10 minutes away and the beach 15 minutes.

This is an average hotel. Room was small but nice and tidy.
Good things about the hotel - location, staff and food quality they offer. Also TV providing 30-40 channels in latvian, russian, german, english, polish and byelorussian.
Bad things - internet is available but you have to arrange it at the reception. Since I was too tired to go downstairs I felt asleep without checking e-mails. Hotel is not ready when some 40 persons at one time will have breakfast. Tables sligthly are lacking and so is food (food is of good quality but they are not able to provide quantities that can be eaten by "a tourist bus".
