We stayed here for 4 nights in September, I chose this hotel as it is reported to be 4 star. We chose a superior room which turned out to be small and quite uncomfortable.
The double bed was pushed into a corner so you had to crawl over the bed to get in and out. This is becasue the bathroom door would not have opened if the bed was in the center!
Small bathroom, shower, no bath, but at least it was clean.
The opening windows were essential as the room got very warm - not all rooms had opening windows. The curtains on the two windows were not wide enough, hooks were missing from the tops so did not hang correctly or fully cover the windows. There were damp patches on the ceiling which had been covered with paint, but one was clearly visable.
Very noisey theater just outside the hotel were music boomed out one night until 11pm.
Staff were friendly, but seemed unable to give correct answers to our questions.
One night the restaruant closed to guests as they had a coach party in, no notice was given to guests or reception staff & they refused to serve us when we turned up to eat!
Breakfast was nothing special, the usual European cheap cheese, cooked meat, cereals & tinned fruit. Would probably suite Europeans but would not recomend for English & American tourists.
I would never give this hotel a 4 star rating and would not stay there again.
The Merition Garden Old Town is nearer the old town center - I would look for a room there!!
