“Simple budget hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

The hotel is located in the residential area (individual homes) on the outskirts of Tallinn, in the 9 storey block type building from late soviet times. The bus No. 5 stops next to the hotel and takes you to the city center in 10-15 minutes (0,8 eur). The rooms are rather small, basic, but clean and not worn too much. Bathroom is clean, no problem with that, water pressure excelent. The choice of dishes served for dinner in restaurant is not wide, but quality is good. The breakfast is included in price and is more-less good. The bigest drawback is absence of fresh fruit and green salads.

“Good enough for two stars”

I used a single room some days ago. It was an emergency to book the hotel, because there are many better hotels in Tallinn at the same rate. But ordering on a same day, especially on Friday, gives less oportunities. This hotel is big enough, and always has free accommodations. Location is not central, but it takes some ten minutes to reach downtown by bus. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. And you can buy tickets at the reception. For those travellers on cars, free parking and also a guarded parking. Nice outside territory with benches and gazebos, so I can imagine there is a good relaxing place in summers. The restaurant is big, breakfast is okey. And especially I liked the convenient mattress in my room. So I do not exclude I will use the hotel again.

“We did not like it and we would never go back”

Expedior once again giving us a hotel too far outside the city I am disabled when booking the man reassured me that the hotel was in walking distance to the city centre thank goodness for the no5 bus .The hotel room was certainly no frills very budget and we were there for 7days far too long when entering the hotel it looked like something out of the "Shining " the 1970s horror film we were waiting for Jack Nicholson to pop out.the manager was reluctant to keep the bar open late so it was bed at 11 there was a couple of shops nearby and a not so nice housing estate with a dodgy looking pub. and a busy road. Breakfast was good and there was different extra everyday and the cook was very nice especially at the weekenend

Room Tip: Room is very no frills one up from a hostel it is a very quiet area.

“Not as good as other reviews”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2011

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. The hotel was full of noisy adolescent boys. During the first night, they were throwing plastic bottles full of water from windows, holding their cellphones from windows and playing loud music with them, shouting rude F-words to nearby walking women. Group of some older people were sitting outside, in front of reception and singing till midnight. Hotel rules say, that you should not disturb other guests from 11 pm to 7 am, but nobody from the hotel was concerned. Second night was a bit calmer.
Other problem was, that it was really hot during these two nights. I know, hotel is not responsible for the temperature, but in the rooms, it was like in hell and in the restaurant, it was not better. There are only two elevators, each one for just 4 persons - for 10 storey hotel, it is not enough. And when we entered the elevator, it was like in oven.
On their leaflets, they are advertising WiFi internet in each room, but it is not true. We were on sixth floor and I was not able to connect. It was only possible in the lobby.
Otherwise - room was clean, furniture and floating floor looked new. In the corridors, there was carpet, in need of deep cleaning.

“Good budget choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 April 2011

I hadn't originally booked to stay at this hotel but due to some problem with Hotel Susi's booking system they booked me into this hotel. It is about 3 kilometres from the old town but the number 5 bus runs regularly about every 20 minutes directly there and bus tickets are available from the hotel reception for about 0.65 Euros. The hotel is a typical ex soviet building rather square and non descript but it is an area with lots of trees and much quieter than some of the budget hotels in the old town which seem to attract the stag party fraternity etc . The staff were really helpful, the receptionists all speak English to some degree. The rooms fairly are basic but there's an en suite in them and they are clean and tidy. Breakfast was included there is quite a choice although it is European in style with cheese and ham etc. The pastries and fresh baked cheesecake were delicious although the thought of eating pickled herring and beetroot for breakfast, which were also on offer, might be too much for most people! I paid £62 for 3 nights and I would certainly book there again if I return to Tallinn.

Room Tip: Like most Estonian hotels it has a sauna
