The location is excellent and everything is within nice walking distance.

The rooms were rather basic, the Scandinavian way, and a bit worn out. The beds were quite good. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was quite nice, but the breakfast room was quite small at the peak hours.

In the other room we had two extra beds, low quality bunks. The first ones were broken and they had to be changed a couple of times to be barely satisfactory. So, if you need an extra bed to your room, I'd advice you to consider another hotel or ensure that it is made of sofa.

The hotel restaurant was not open on Sunday night.

This is a quite old but warm hotel located in the City center. Funny thing about it that you have to use your key card to be able to get into the elevators.
Rooms might need some renovation as they are bit old, but in general they are big, clean and without any visible issues. You would not get anything Extra in this hotel - just quite rooms (despite windows facing noisy street), cozy bed and a good sleep. Old fashion TV sets with limited selection of channels and unstable 256K wireless internet would kick you out from the rooms to explore charming Tallinn's Old City which is only one block away
Breakfast buffet is very good especially Rakvere (own Estonian) fried bacon and salted herring. Have stayed there twice and will come back again

This place has been here for a while and it's proud of it. But with all the new, and mostly Nordic, hotels, this place really needs an overhaul. It feels very 70's and the rooms are a bit outdated as the tube tv's show. There are several sizes to choose from and not all have mini bar, so check as you book. I didn't like the beds: they didn't support my back, so I woke up at night.

The location though is very good. It's sitting on the south border of the old town, next to the old gates of town. Just cross the street and you're in the old town.

I had no complaints over the service: I left at 5:30 in the morning and they called me in time to come downstairs, check out, have a sandwich, coffee and some juice. Just for me:)

Well placed to view the Old Town. As others have said, apart from the ground floor, it is a tired hotel. Rooms outdated and nothing special. But at a rate of €75 including b/fast, a bit of a bargain.
