“Great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

This comfortable hotel is located in the heart of Tallinn, the Old City. Location is really good, all places of interest are just few steps away and from our room window we could stare over people strolling the narrow streets. Room was really large, comfy and clean. The stuff is mostly russian-speaking and very helpful, they really helped us to find location of baron von Glenn's castle. The breakfast is good, not great though. Taking into account the price this place is excellent find!

“Excellent Location”

January 2012: My daughter & I just returned from 4 days in Tallinn, Estonia, we had a brill time - snow every day. Wear warm sweaters & good footware for snow, it wasn't too cold -4 most days. We stayed in the Old Town Maestro Hotel EXCELLENT! - Very easy to get to. Get €1 ticket in the Airport, bus right outside, get off at the Viru Shopping Centre, took 15-20 mins. Easy 3-4 min walk through Viru shopping Centre, cross the double roads, straight ahead, the entrance to the Old Town 3-4 min to hotel. HOTEL: Warm, very clean & cosey, excellent location for sight seeing and to explore the underground Restaurants & Bars in the evening. ROOMS: We had a suite on the 5th floor - super size room, comfortable beds and excellent bathroom facilities with walk-in showwer. BREAKFAST: basic but good. Plenty of ham, cheese, yogurt, crepes & bread. Also a variety of cooked items: fried egg, sausage, meatballs etc. STAFF: very friendly and helpful. Definitely go to the Town Hall for hot wine & pies or Old Hansa for beer, great atmosphere, candle light everywhere, staff in Medieval costumes GREAT! Visit the Kiek in de Kok Tower, the Bastion Tunnels a MUST! There is lots to do and see. The Old town is very atmospheric at night, a real 'fairyland' of lights towers & steeples. Enjoy! we certainly did.

Room Tip: As there are a few nightclubs quite close, ask for a room at the back of the Hotel, preferably 5th f...

“Excellent location and breakfast, rooms fine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

The hotel is quiet but very centrally located in the historical centre, just few minuted walk from the town hall. The breakfast (included) is abundant, having still good connection to "heavy Soviet style", i.e. offering various kinds of salted (meatballs, sausage, fried potato, eggs) and sweet stuff (different kinds of pancaces). You can definitely fill your stomache. The breakfast room is not particularly attractive, though. The rooms are fine, a bit brownish and old-fashined carpet on the floor but clean. Hotel is very quiet. The staff (mostly Russian-speakers?) do their job efficiently.

“Highly recommend!”

The best choice if you want to be close to the fairy tale old city of Tallin. Close to everything within walking distance, very comfortable rooms, old style building which in our opinion is must if you decide to visit Tallin! Breakfast was so nice and plenty! We have also to thank the manager for her professionalism and kindless. Definitely value for money!

“Good place to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

I went to Tallinn with my three sisters and we stayed here in december 2011. We had two double rooms, it would have been nicer with two bed rooms instead, but we didn't mind that much. The rooms are basically nice, but a bit worn. Although it was clean, and the bathroom had nice standarn, clean and with heated floors, bathtub and shower. I felt very comfortable. The breakfast was good too, but the breakfast room was obviously too small as we had to wait a good 20 min before we could get a table.

I could defenitley recomend this hotel to my friends, and to families travelling with kids. Would not choose it for romance. Totally lacked romantic touch. More like a good clean base for exploring Tallinn. We hade rooms towards the yard, and they were really quiet!

Room Tip: We had quiet double rooms facing the "yard" room 405 and 505. The hotel street gets very b...
