“Location, location, location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

A beautifully restored old building in a hard-to-beat location right in the centre of Old Tallinn. Perfect for a short break as you'll waste no time travelling around by taxis or public transport as everything is within a couple of minutes walk from the doorstep.

Numerous options for eating and drinking in the immediate vicinity. The square outside can be a little noisy until very late of a Friday and Saturday night as there is a popular nightclub in the building opposite. However, the windows are triple glazed so noise was never a problem once I was inside the hotel and I had a room right at the front, nearest to the nightclub entrance.

Staff were helpful and friendly throughout and Sunday morning check-out took seconds. As always, rates vary and I got a good rate by booking early. Bearing in mind the standard of the hotel and the superb location though I think I'd have been quite happy to pay a little more for the convenience of being in the centre of the Old Town. Ten minutes from the airport in a taxi for €10. Definitely one to bear in mind.

One tip - the room safe is key operated and you need to get the key from reception. If you plan to use the safe ask for a key when you check-in otherwise, like me, you'll have to walk back down to get it.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for staying with us and for your very detailed and positive feedback!
I am sure this gives very good overview about the location as well as hotel for our future guests, but I also hope we will have the possibility to welcome you back here. Perhaps during the summer, when there's so much more to explore in Tallinn and also weather is much warmer?

Once again, from all our team - thank you for all the positive words and always welcome back!

“Clean, good location and reasonable prices.”

Stayed for 4 nights in January, My City Hotel is easy to find if you do a small amount of research before you leave, a 2 Euro bus ride to and from the airport, the bus stop is no more than 5 minutes walk.
We had a superior room which by European standards was very large, the water pressure in the shower was the best I have ever experienced, what a wake up. One moan, only 2 sachets of coffee for 2 people per day, take some of your own.
The breakfast we thought was very good, an excellent selection of hot and cold, I particularly enjoyed the pancakes.
2 bars less than a minute from the hotel that are both worth a mention, Shooters & Nimeta, they are next door to each other, we had lunch & dinner in both, the food on each visit was excellent and not at all expensive, also they both employ a happy 2 hours at times of the day bringing the beer down to 1.5 Euro for half a litre, both are popular with locals, always a good sign.
Finally well done to the cleaners that kept My City Hotel spotless despite the snow constantly being dragged in on feet.

Dear guest,

thank you for your very detailed feedback! I'm really happy to read that you were enjoying your visit to Tallinn. I'm glad you pointed out the good quality of the breakfast - must add that starting from this morning we have even further updated our breakfast service by adding fresh ground Lavazza coffee (also espresso, cappuccino and latte) to make sure the mornings start even more bright!
Thank you also for mentioning about coffee and tea sachets in Superior rooms - it is a good idea to have more available and I will make sure we will make this change soon. However - there is really no need to bring them with you, if you ask from reception, we will surely provide you some additional.
I'm glad you stayed with My City Hotel and truly hope we have the chance to welcome you here again!

With all the best wishes,

“LOCATION”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

The hotel is in an excelent location in Tallin.
The hotel itself was great value for money with pleasant and helpful staff.
Rooms were clean and tidy with coffee/tea making faclities.
Overall i found it excellent value for money and would stay there again when i return to Tallin perhaps in the summer.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front can be noisy late at night and early morning at weekend
