To start with, this hotel does not look like a 4 star property, as advertised. Yes, technically you've got everything you expect to find in a 4 star hotel, but the quality of stuff is quite mediocre. Bathroom was tiny, shower had a broken soap dispenser on the wall, there were no extra pillows in the room, and the ones we had were just tiny. On the bright side, the room was clean, quality of breakfast was good and the dining room had plenty of space. You also get a free entrance to their SPA.

The hotel is located not really next to the sea, but it is close. You can also reach city centre easily by foot in some 20-25 minutes. There is a grocery store just acrosse the road.

With regard to price, it is very affordable, at least in autumn, although I cannot say about summer time, which is considered a top season for this sea resort.

We wanted to stay at the Scandic Hotel - but it was full. We were very pleased to be at The Strand and Spa. It is a deserved 3 or 4 star hotel on the fringes of the town and of the beach resort area. We enjoyed a sea view and a balcony (though the balcony came at the expense of space in the room). It was fairly quiet and restful for our stay - but the night club (on top floor Fridays and Saturdays) might be very noisy. The breakfast buffet was reasonably comprehensive but the presence of coach tour parties made it difficult to select food and to find somewhere to sit.

I failed to connect to the wifi - but a solitary computer terminal in the reception area seemed to be for the use of guests.

We would recommend Parnu and this hotel.

Room is OK. AirCon, Fridge but no Safe.
We stayed here at weekend and there is a Nightclub on top floor. Our rrom was on street level and you can still here the beat very loud. Impossible to sleep. We changed the room (to 101) and this one was at the real end of the large hotel. It was still possible to here the beat but OK to sleep. Restaurant we can not recommend. Breakfast is good.

Only the last morning of our stay in Strand Spa and Conference we realized that the black spots on the sheets of our bed were caused by bed bugs. Upon request the hotel reimbursed 10% of the what we had paid for the stay. As an allergic person I was very ill for about a week because of the (hundreds of) bed bug bites.
