My impression of Sarunas is that it is intended more for business people. We received a complementary upgrade to a suite, and "Room" 200 is massive (it used to be two separate rooms). Beautiful triple aspect walk-in bay window, huge 3 piece suite, massive bathroom, but the shower curtain was inadequate to keep the water off the floor. We stayed in the recent cold spell, and temperatures outside hit -16, but the room was nice and warm, as was the hotel. If you are stuck for food, there is a pizza place 1 minutes walk, and a supermarket about 5 minutes away.
The breakfasts are slightly limited and variable, and the waitresses are reluctant to refill any empty receptacles until requested.
Spare pillows are hidden in drawers.
The staff had sufficient English to get-by (receptionists good), though considerably better than my Lithuanian. Don't expect any public to speak English at all.
The gym is well kitted out for weights, but less-so for cardio stuff. The random and incongruous thing is, it has two full-size basketball courts - but they are used a lot.
It is 15mins walk to town over the river, which is quite nice.
Taxis are the lazy way, but always prebook them, never flag them down. Ekipazas are amazing, but don't phone them until 5 mins before you want one - we used them about 10 times and they were NEVER longer than that. The one time we wanted one in 10mins, they rolled up in 5, waited, and didn't charge. Take a taxi from the airport - it's Ltl 17 (£4.30), slightly more in the rush-hour, as the train station is Ltl 10 from the hotel anyway. Superb ([--])
On the whole, fantastic value for £66 a night, and flights for £89 return with Aer Lingus - 5 days in Lithuania for £400 all-in.
