I choose this hotel because they aren't very welcoming to stag parties and to be honest, this was indeed the case and I was very happy about it.

This place still is affordable if you want to avoid this type of travellers because the more upmarket hotels in my opinion have ridiculous prices.

The hotel was in a very good location towards the city centre and right next to a main shopping street, Mastercard was very glad with that ;-).

It was clean and tidy, the hotel overall and the rooms.
Breakfast was also nice.

The restaurant I found a bit less good, there wasn't many choice in food and even then the food was very plain.

We booked a room via hotels.com and we were hoping for a nice suprise for our stay in Vilnius. Hotel should be non-smoking, but still there´s an ashtray in the room! We asked non-smoking room. I mentioned about that, but the receptionist said that room is non-smoking. Her explanation wasn´t believable. There was no air conditioning in our room, and the window opened to the flat roof. It didn´t feel nice to left it open for the night, but we didn´t have a choice because of the heat. Our room was warn and there was an awfull smell in it. Hotel quests and personnel were smoking near our window. You could really smell that. The breakfast was adequate and there was a free internet and a secure parking area in the backyard. Location was also a bit too far from the old town (approximately 20 min). There wasn´t a crocery store next to it. Also restaurants nearby were closed 10-11 p.m.

I stayed at Ratonda for 6 nights to discover Vilnius and I must say the hotel was very nice.
The reception staff was friendly (just like it has to be, nothing more...) and was helpful if you needed something. The rooms are nice and clean, not too big but comfortable, only the bathroom could do with a little makeover. In any case a good place to have a good night sleep. The breakfast was very ok, with plenty of choice and the nice girl who was doing the service kept the buffet clean and full, what more can you ask? Also tried their restaurant in the evening and although they had a very little choice the food was of good quality. Again service was friendly and efficient.
For the location: I would call it perfect. It's in a big shopping street (Gedimino) that leads straight to the Cathedral Square. Very nice strawl, not a busy street though. I think the location is better than in the Old City, because there you will find way too many coach and day tourists, not the nicest crowd to run into when you come out of your front door (no offence...)
So if you look for an affordable, nice hotel in a good location, don't hesitate!

We chose this hotel as it was an offer, but would have stayed in one of the more central hotels otherwise as it is further out of town than it's competitors. Small rooms, but clean and many facilties.

Staff not so friendly, but typical of Vilnius.

More of a guest house than hotel. There was one free PC with internet access. Breakfast was ok, in a downstairs restaurant.

Small, cosy, but not so central. Book if good price.
