“Good hotel but far from the centre of the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

I stayed in this hotel for 1 week. The room I got was very nice and spacious. There was a problem with the shower, as it had not enough pressure. Additionally, the the stand of the shower was broken. The price was very good (I got a 3 nights for the price of 2 deal). Breakfast was very good. It is located something like 3 km from the centre of the city.

“Warning - keep an eye on your valuables”

I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions during my business trips to Vilnius. The hotel has decent facilities; the rooms are ok, the cleanliness is ok and the breakfast is pretty good. I appreciate the free Internet connection which offers pretty good speed.

However, during my last two trips I have had bad experiences from thefts of personal belongings in my hotel room. First, I left my car keys in my suitcase (closed but not locked) as I did not have my car there and did not need the keys. Sure, it may be a bit naïve to leave keys in the room, but during all my years of business and pleasure travelling I have never had any bad experiences of thefts. After returning home from my three day stay I noticed that I couldn't find the keys anymore.

Upon returning to the hotel the following week, I deliberately placed 10 EUR on the floor in my room as if I had dropped it. The reason for doing this was to check the honesty and reliability of the personnel, as I was almost certain that my keys had disappeared from my room during my previous visit. When returning to the room in the afternoon the money was gone. Upon confronting the hotel reception about the two incidents, they did not seem to believe me and were questioning why I left the money in the room. The manager promised to check on this with the personnel but only returned to me after my reminder. Nobody had ever seen my 10 EUR and they have offered no explanation or compensation.

The incident has been reported to the police and the locks to my car have been replaced.

For me, feeling secure in the hotel room is essential. Consequently, the hotel gets 1 out of 5. Needless to say, I will not stay at this hotel anymore I do not recommmend it to anybody.

“Forgettable”

This place is OK if you get a renovated room otherwise it is pretty basic (we had one of each) - we had to argue to get the free internet that is advertised as it was only available in one of the rooms. The renovated room was probably a 4 but the other was a 2 and the argument we had at reception affected overall rating.

“Best value, convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 March 2009

Got a 46USD price on hotels.com and thought it was a good value. Located a short walk from where bus No 2 on the way from the airport stops, this hotel is in a residential neighborhood, just 1-2 bus stops from the Gediminas Ave and Old Town. The hotel is in an office block building and feels a little corporate. The bed is kind of basic as well as the bathroom amenities. There is no individual control of air-conditioning, and the light in the bathroom is bright neon white. The room has a PC with an ethernet cable that can be used to connect to your own laptop for complimentary internet. Overall, good value, clean and adequate for a short stay.

“Accomodation-only type”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2009

I stayed in this hotel few days on April 2008. The hotel best serves basic accommodation only, i.e. if one needs clean and basically comfortable place for sleep, shower, few hours work, and not being very concerned by the location- this is the place. The clerks at the reception were initially very unfriendly but changed afterward. Same was the bartender at the lobby. No impression about the breakfast staff as I didn't go for breakfast during entire stay. Overall, the attitude of personal is kind of silent demonstration of being bored of their work and having rather careless attitude to it. I felt like a "hero" once I managed to raise a even slight smile on anyone's face. However, the "edge" of the minimum politeness was not passed at any point. Additionally, it was possible to rely on their assistance for any request- as far as such was reasonable considering the hotel facilities, i.e. not much but it's not personnel's fault at all. Lobby bar with only drinks and chips/nuts/etc. Food (pizza) can be ordered via reception; it is delivered by clerk of catering company (or nearby restaurant, not sure) so you should be prepared to have local cash so as to pay for it. So it is recommended to rather have your food outside so as not to need it in the hotel (not dining while I was outside is only my mistake- I definitely do not blame the hotel for this- I should check in advance the availability of catering facilities in the hotel. Parking for very short time (e.g. car waiting for you) is not very comfortable- the car should just stop on the street which is small. Internet connection in the room working. The room (single with 1,5 bed) was relatively small. Considering possible having food there, I wouldn't say it is comfortable. Bureau- not very big, as well, and not quite comfortable to sit and work even for me (I'm considered "small&slim"). Bathroom- bigger and comfortable. Value for money- overestimated, as far as same and even better basic conditions + more facilities are available for same price in other hotels in Vilnius. Per my opinion, the hotel has potential to extend its facilities and services, so if I hear for changes- I'd give it a try again. Meanwhile, I'll definitely consider other hotel, as I actually did on December 2008

  • Liked — Cleanness
  • Disliked — Lack of sufficient place in the room, lack of basic recreation facilities
