Nothing fancy here, but workers were very friendly and spoke English. Free breakfast was OK, mostly cold-type offerings. Rooms were Spartan. Beds soft. Great shower. TV had no international channels in English, though at least one in Polish. For foreign visitors, the location doesn't offer much, but you can no doubt save a ton versus the brand-name hotels downtown. It's a 30-lita cab ride into Old Town -- if you get an honest driver. Ask hotel to call the cab -- and arrange for driver to bring you back later.
The shopping plaza next door is handy, and food in mall-type restaurants surprisingly good (and inexpensive, thanks to exchange rate). Drawback is you're not near anything else. This hotel is rather out in new commercial suburbs. As much as i thought hotel was a good value, I'd look next time for hotel downtown because that's where foreigners will want to be.
We shared hotel with groups: from soccer teams to huge high school group to local police officers. Even an American working group of some sort. It's obviously aimed at handling groups more than individual tourists or business people.
If you have 5 or 6 people and your own van, and you aren't interested in fancy amenities, you can save money here.
